Has anyone here stayed at Terrible's Casino?
I'll be in Vegas a whole week and it's the closest venue to the Hard Rock. But it's cheaper and looks low rent. I'd much prefer to stay at the Hard Rock but I ask because it looks like the Hard Rock doesn't have any single rooms open still for Jan 17 and I'd rather not move rooms during the shows.
Let me know your thoughts on the place... |
I have a feeling that if you brought a blacklight into your room you would check out faster than a Vegas whore sucks cock at 3am.
|
It's not bad actually. The rooms are decent sized, the buffet is pretty good and the service is excellent. I used to live next door to it way back when it was a dive called the Continental. Since then, it has been renovated, had a parking garage added and they classed it up a bit. It's definitely not a luxury resort by any stretch of the imagination, but it's clean, comfortable and you could do much worse at nearly twice the price.

It's a budget place but not a dirty place. Nothing wrong with staying there IMO. Check Rumor and Alexa Park too.

My buddy only stays there. He loves that place but I've never been there.
|
Thanks guys... yeah I know it's not luxury, and frankly I don't really care. I've stayed at the worst dives before. All I care about is that my shit doesn't get ripped off, and that I'm able to sleep. Other than that I'm in Vegas to work and have fun... my room is the least of my concern other than convenience.

Rumor is right across the street
|
Shit! that place is cheap! :1orglaugh If it's right across the street, why not?
|
It's fine! Cheap enough, and close enough!
|
I've stayed there. Make sure and get a non-smoking room or you won't be able to sleep..
They have 40oz beers so I love it there! :upsidedow:upsidedow Ohh and 40oz fountain sodas, you can't beat it! :1orglaugh |
My own experience is that I spend just enough time to shower, shit and sleep in the room. And that when I have an expensive room I often spend more time than that in the room and go home feeling like I could have gotten more done had I stayed at terrible s...

The Alexis Park across the street from HRH is not too bad and really suite.

Even though I live here I booked a Terribles room from the 14th thru the 22nd for fucking...er, I mean partying...heh-heh
Anyway, the entire cost was a little over $600 with tax for that entire stay. You can't beat that! I still can't figure out why none of the conventions ever are held at places that don't overcharge. The Hard Rock is cool....but they are definitely out to assfuck the tourists. Just like The Venetian and The Palms did. If it were up to me...this show would be happening at The Golden Nugget on Fremont St. and it would be a fantastic party with all the clubs (and even a titty bar) all right there for everyone to walk up and down to. Great prices and a million things to do. But nobody ever asks us folks who live here in Vegas. :) |
Just go next door to the Flamingo, always spend that extra dollar.

I checked Alexis Park and Rumors and both have at least one day blacked out I think for the week I want to go. Those places are preferable for me but then again if the Hard Rock gets openings again for the 17th I'm staying there bar none.
It's funny, I was leaning towards Terribles after reading all the comments here and pretty much agree with V Rocks in that I need a place to shit, shower and shave and then get the hell out. I don't care about the casino or the food there since most of my time will be spent at Hard Rock anyway. And yeah, the price is ridiculous cheap. But now you've got me thinking Mitch LOL... OK... for those of you who have stayed at The Imperial shithole palace before... how does Terribles compare to that? |
You could also check out Comfort Inn. It is directly across the street from The entrance of the Joint and convention area of the Hardrock. In most cases you will be closer and faster to get to the convention than anyone staying at The Hardrock.
If you get an Efficiency Room, you will have a small kitchen included which can save you some on food or ample alcoholic beverage storage. :) Looks like it will cost you $55.00 - $65.00 per night. This is also the best option for moving for 1 night from the Hardrock and back. Done it a couple times myself. |

95 percent of the people in that casino all qualify to be on the show Intervention. I know they are more expensive, but if nothing is available at the Hard Rock, I would just shell out the bucks and do the Cosmo, Palazzo, Wynn, etc etc.. There are many options and since the computer show isnt in town it will be a lot cheaper during the week. You will need to take a cab daily but at least you wont be depressed every time you have to walk through Skid Row to get to your room. |
