Whole foods.. good company?

Is it a pretty good company to work for? I am applying to work there, next month, because I believe that they offer great benefits and 20% off of their food which should be really good for me..

Anyone ever worked there? Is it as good as it's said to be?

CyberHustler 12-12-2011 04:43 PM

You could make a lot more money selling weed...

Sly 12-12-2011 04:44 PM

You are planning on applying to a retail store next month?

L-Pink 12-12-2011 04:45 PM

I recommend you work in the vegetable department.

.

Joxxy 12-12-2011 04:49 PM

Don't laugh at me.. you know, we all have to pay for our mistakes and I've made a few. If my sentence is working a normal persons job for some time, I am just damned thankful it's not prison time. I could be in prison right now.

Working a normal persons job seems just as bad, but you know, it isn't because I still have some freedom to make shit right.

So laugh all you want for now - it doesn't faze me.

WarChild 12-12-2011 04:51 PM

Well at least you're trying to get a job finally. That's a step in the right direction.

epitome 12-12-2011 04:52 PM

Why not apply now? You're going to put off filling out an online form for a month?

I just identified the root of your problems.

No, I have no problem with working whatever job you need to work in order to make the money you need to make. There is absolutely no shame in that. My confusion is how you are planning on applying for this job next month. Why next month? Why not tomorrow?

MrMaxwell 12-12-2011 04:56 PM

It could be because I might be taking medication that might cause me to not want to take a test they usually give and I might not have the right paper work to explain use of what I might be taking until later this month

Make sense, now?

Ah. . I see.. yeah there's nothing wrong with a hard days work. I have the talent and I could have three housebitches and a garage full of Cadillacs.... but I didn't do the right things and it is a long road back sometimes :upsidedow

I've had one regular job my whole life, back in '03. I worked outside all winter in the hardest winter this state has seen in a long time. Some nights 0-1F with a -15 to -20F windchill.

Growing up we had money most of the time but my father had me working a sledge hammer when I was twelve.. up on roofs helping him put shingles on when it was 100 outside.. shit like that. So I definitely am not a stranger to work

I definitely know what a hard days work is and have always had respect for it

Doing it when you have to sucks 100x as much as doing it because you want to, let me tell ya. Like when I was real young and making money hustling cable tv. In my free time I pushed a manual lawn mower all over town and mowed peoples lawns for free .. just because I enjoyed doing it

icymelon 12-12-2011 05:10 PM

I think they sell a lot of food that if you tested it wouldn't be as good for you as you think.

Well, I do not expect it to be 100% natural wonderful food, but it should be far better than what I'm getting out of regular grocery stores - right?

Obliterating 12-12-2011 09:42 PM

try speed and grass

looky_lou 12-12-2011 10:15 PM

I just read today that they rank in the top 10 best run companies in America.

Good luck with the new job.

20% off at Whole Foods is still more expensive than most regular grocery stores.

Cruelness

MrMaxwell 12-14-2011 04:00 PM

I considered selling weed before, but, I really want to not do anything shady. I have not commited a crime in YEARS and the only way I would do that is if I had people with me when I was making deals, and if I was selling at least 1lb+ at a time. And even then, who could you trust to have with you? I trust pretty much no one. And no selling to tens of individuals and waiting for one of them to get me jammed up- that is stupid. Stupid!!

But worth it, if it is better quality.. And with a paycheck, I could afford more food, see.
