It seems very 'angry' artwork, maybe I'm wrong here... frustration?

It's just a style, but I would say they might represent that :winkwink: They were painted on darker days, I think those days it was raining.

This one is a little happier, no?

Hmmm, to be honest... As an art lover, it gives the impression the artist (you), was trying to express more at the time, purposely trying to cheer himself up but with lots of forced frustration & anxiety still.... kind of crazy. Please, no insult meant. I know you aint no freek & certainly not crazy lol!

I shall be honest, I bet you sell some, but if I was to purchase these or any of them, they would need to go some where really nuts like a games room or even a huge triple style garage with some very high class cars, so to bring insanity to the named room :thumbsup

What can I say, but wow. I really appreciate your thoughts, and to be honest, I'm a little stunned by what you've said. At the same time I am really amazed by your insight. I am usually not one to ever allow any of my personal life to be expressed or exposed to the regular outside world, especially online, but your words make me want to share the real motivation behind these works, here with them. These pieces and this series were created last year about 3 weeks after my father died, who I had not seen or talked to in almost 25 years. I was blocked in every way in my head and in my art, I couldn't seem to find a connection to anything. The despair inside my head was agonizing, it was as close as I have ever come to shredding everything around me. Instead, somehow these came out. The visuals matched the emotions, the words of the titles I tried to keep far away from the visuals, but somehow connect. Thank you, you've honestly help me understand and reconnect a piece of myself tonight, go figure on a web site called go fuck yourself. unreal :thumbsup

I'm really pleased you connected with yourself, especially with emotions over a very close loved one. We all have to come to terms with death, some of us crack up, some fight with anger, some hide inside & find other ways... I think this artwork really shows the loss, maybe this artwork you should dedicate to your father???
lol with your comment of reconnecting on a site called GFY... isn't that the way :thumbsup

About this piece, as you said, 'Delicious stimulation' is far from the visual, to me the visual shows surprise, yet with confusion & hysteria, the mouth with colour, wanting to speak, in this situation, as in actual time, present, the mouth to me would give happiness as you are connect, at the time, probably the mouth colouration would have shown that you wanted to speak of your loss....

This to me, has also just given me an extra happiness to my life, we are here in present day, caught up to all previous experience & now we can introduce fresh thoughts & a better way of life with closer friendships :thumbsup

Food for thought. You're a 1st Class act in my book Arse :thumbsup
Thanks again for the insight and normality.
If you are ever looking for something interesting to display in the triple garage, game room or elsewhere, I'd be happy to work with you.

In the meantime, back to work, but here's a couple of other impressionist macabre works for the room...

In your own way, you can definitely got some insanity in your life... Maybe zany. Great idea with the surprise of the bunny still in the hat. Gives some impatience for the next piece. What was your follow on to this?
