Transferring from Blogger to Wordpress
 

I've been on Blogger a long time, and I love it, but I have heard that Google is not super adult friendly.

Actually, I know from experience from posting female wrestling video previews on Youtube. (non-nude)

If I did ever want to convert to Wordpress I have one main concern.

Would the urls for each individual story/article stay in tact?

I have a lot of urls out there for individual pages and it would be a disaster if the url was not the same on every page on a new website.

Does anyone know the answer to this?

You could setup the wordpress blog to have the exact same categories and linking structure as your current Blogger blog.

Takes a bit of tiem to get setup, but can be done within reason.

You can make the urls exactly similar by using permalink setting in Wordpress... there you'll find multiple choices... Choose according to your need...

I've imported a Blogger blog with nearly 10k posts to WP, back when it was still on version 2.2 or so and it went really smoothly. As mentioned you can specify the permalink structure, but beyond that you can also take advantage of 301 redirects so you don't loose any traffic and / or create a customizable 404 error page.
