I'm bored of MW3 already
Haven't been playing it much lately, but played it for about 40mins today and got really fed up with it.
It's just same old same old really. I think since i got the PS3, and played COD 4 solid for a year, then WaW after that, then Black Ops (although i didn't play that half as much since i never liked it from the start), and now MW3, it all just looks and plays the same now. The urge to quickly rank up and get better guns has long gone. I'll probably just play it every now and again, as it's still a good enough game, but i think 3 years or so of hammering the Call of Duty saga has probably took it's toll. Been thinking whether to try BF3 but keep reading mixed reviews on that too. I think i'll probably be sticking mostly to sports game from now... :upsidedow |
I really liked MW3 campaign(and I'm not a big fan of COD), but these games are really nothing more than "the installment of the year". Why not give Uncharted 3 or Batman:Arkham City a try? Now those are some motherfucking good games.

I think I've only played one or 2 of the COD's campaigns, I usually just go straight for multiplayer. I've had every COD since the second one, and I finally got tired of it shortly after Black Ops came out, so I took a major break from it. I've been loving this new one, mostly for the Kill Confirmed game mode. But it definitely does feel like almost the same game, just new maps.

I'm bored already myself. I haven't played for over a week and I haven't even reached max level.
I think the campaigns suck. When did video games become about rolling with a team of computer players that do the killing for you? It's like the developers decided we needed our hands held through the game. Forced to watch the scenes in between, and other bullshit that makes me angry. Multiplayer still has the little things that are very important, that are flawed. Getting shot and killed, but firing a bullet before hand and having it disappear. Hitting a target point blank and missing. Spawning in front of 3 enemies already firing. I'm going back to my MMOs (come on GW2, damn it!) |

Defo gonna try out some new games, like the ones you mentioned! :thumbsup |

I can say the same thing about the God of War series(but 3 will blow you away). If you have the PS3, then you have something that Xboxers are missing out on...lots of good exclusives. COD can be played on any platform. |

The spawns are fucking terrible on MW3... :disgust |
I don't prestige anymore, it's not worth it... so now I enjoy trying to finish all the challenges. I agree... it gets a little boring to play day in and day out, but then again anything would.

Battlefield 3 is more fun. Also try Osmos for iPad, it's amazing.
|
I stopped buying these games because I always run into the same trap:
I buy the game I finish the campaign in 2 days I start multiplayer I play multiplayer for hours and hours until I reach the highest level, then I never play again |

I got BF3 the other day because EA was selling it for $29, downloaded & installed but havent played it yet.

I hear Saints Row the Third is a great game i'm going to check it sometime soon any here played it?

I played COD4 and BLOPs a lot and was looking forward to MW3. Played the single player first and liked it. Then I jumped online and gave up after a few nights. The spawn points were terrible as I got shot in the back as soon as I spawned and the maps are so tight I would either get shot in the back or run around the corner to get shot in the face. I put it back in the box and am waiting for some new maps to help open the game up. Its been said that several past MW maps including Crash, Crossfire, Highrise, Overgrown and Strike will be released in future map packs.
Right now I've been having fun with Forza 4 and the best way for me to keep from getting burnout on a game is mix it up a little. After a few nights of Forza 4 I'll put in BLOPs and its really fun for awhile. |

Gotta say I originally loved MW3, but it just feels like an MW2 mod. Even the fucking titles are exactly the same. I think the best part about it is that when it crashes on PC it tells you MW2.exe has stopped working.. fat lot of fucking work they put into it!
Anyone looking for a good shooter (PSN/XBLA/PC)... get a copy of Payday: The Heist for under $10 and you won't be dissapointed, they've patched it up so it's playable and actually decent fun with 4 friends http://images.vg247.com/current//201...88ff0318_b.jpg |

Arkham City is a great game. I can recommend it too.
|
The Batman games are both on my list as I see folks have been suggesting them here...but for the big FPS this year I went with battlefield, glad I did...sure more folks on my list are playing mw3, but yea, been there, done that black ops wasn't that long ago afterall and was solid enough
try battlefield, if you have it for ps3, hit me up |

Boring for me also. I miss a good Crysis play.

Skyrim. 10 million people aren't wrong. Even if you hate Fant try this one.
|
Yeah MW3 hasn't gotten the hours that I played the old ones.
|
yep you're finally growing up;) soon you will be like me, i play a game at a friend for 5 minutes and im already bored with it. Doesnt interest me at all anymore.
|
I've been playing it a lot lately, but it's the first time I've played online.
I might try BF3 when I get bored. Gamer tag: Jay_DZ if anyone wants to add me |
Still haven't played it. :(

** Spoilers **
MW3 let me down big time with the single player storyline. I was genuinely looking forward to the continuation of the Soap/Captain Price storyline, but it just feel incredibly flat on all fronts. It seems like they decided to ignore story and focus entirely on making grand battle scenes ala NY and Paris. But a grand battle scene does not a good game make. Soap dying felt cheap and shitty. Didn't even bat an eyelid when it happened. What a let down :( |

I played both MW3 and BF3 on and off after release but, after finishing the campaigns and starting on multiplayer, my interest almost instantly waned. I haven't picked up either in over 4 weeks. I think playing online has started to get annoying for many reasons. The cure, a truly engaging game with no multiplayer......give Skyrim a go, completely different and totally absorbing. |
