Windows Vista -- Where is Host file?

Ok, I fired up an old laptop to donate to a needy family. I wanted to make sure everything is off the computer, without restoring it. (I do not have the disks)

So, I found out I have that heurstic or whatever virus that blocks me from getting on the internet, downloading updates for a program to remove it, or whatever.

I Believe I have the Main part of the virus removed, I just can NOT find the dang Host file.

The "search" option is still being blocked by the virus. I did get folder options turned back on to view hidden files, but can not find the dang thing.

Says I am connected to the internet, but DNS error and no programs will update error of Blocked!

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

I figured that is where it was, it is Hidden by the Virus... Fuck, HA..
I am not even sure that is what is blocking the internet!
