As I do every year I urge you to adopt

...a military family for Xmas. Do what you can to show your appreciation for the sacrifices they have had to make.

adultsitecms 12-01-2011 06:57 AM

Oh look, here they come now.

thanks for the reminder, going to adopt a military family in Iran.

Rochard 12-01-2011 09:49 AM

I take part in toys for tots every year.

These days my wife is involved in the local sports league, and they always do all kinds of stuff. They are a non profit and they need to ditch all of their money at the end of the year....

Every year you make this thread. Every year it's ignored and you bump it alone all December. You must have a sad life Pathfinder.

Babaganoosh 12-03-2011 07:15 AM

As I do every year, I remind you that the military is 100% volunteer.

MrBottomTooth 12-03-2011 08:14 AM

I think most would find it insulting. If they are an able-bodied person, why would they want charity handouts? Are you implying they can't provide for their families? If you are talking about families that lost a loved one or ones that have been disabled then that would be different.

brassmonkey 12-03-2011 08:23 AM

im thinking about it

BlackCrayon 12-03-2011 08:24 AM

i'll adpot a lonely ass military wife with my cock.

EukerVoorn 12-04-2011 09:47 PM

If all militaries would have stayed home there wouldn't be a war in the first place. I'll adopt a stray cat, preferable a pregnant one so we'll have kitties in our Xmas tree.

A military dog?

candyflip 12-05-2011 11:15 AM

I know personally of three military families. They are all doing quite well and should probably be the ones doing the adopting this year.

I find it disturbing that one can serve in the military, only to get out of it and have to rely on people to help you at Christmas.

So I have to ask the question, were they not taught any real life skills in the military, or are they complete disasters when they don't have someone barking at them, or did they just fall on hard times like many other normal families fall on? If you can kill or assist in killing innocent civilians in another country, you should be able to get and hold a job in your own. No?

I just don't understand why so many military families need help. Someone please school me.

you-big-dummy 12-05-2011 03:32 PM

Get me someone to explain this shit! `

Lowest united states ranking E1 soldier rakes in $372.75 a week.` If his ass gets combat zone deployed, his pay is tax free, tax mutha fuckin free and he gets $225 additional in combat pay a month.
That be $429.00 a week for a soldier straight outta boot camp!

Clothing allowance, housing and cost of living allowance. If he got kids, that be $250.00 more per month! `

Was E5 gettin my nicca ass shot off makin $350.00 a week! ` Aint nobody give a god damn cup of coffee!

If you're in the U.S. and traveling, ask someone to point you to the USO, and stuff the donation box with a couple of $20's, you will be helping the military, reservists, and retirees. :thumbsup

Coup 12-06-2011 06:21 AM

Fuck you. I'm going to donate to orphans in Afghanistan.

Coup 12-06-2011 06:21 AM

These welfare queen soldiers get enough handouts on my tax dollars.

1. military is voluntary
2. US military + foreign politics has basically changed the world for the worse, raped the world for past 10 years.
3.I'm not American
4. If someone deserves my money its some poor afghan orphan in the middle of nowhere. Not someone who chose out of free will to go to the other side of the world and fight illegitimate wars.
5. peace!

Cherry7 12-07-2011 05:26 AM

I support this US soldier, Matthis Chiroux who said...

I refuse to participate in the Iraq occupation. My decision is based on my desire to no longer continue violating my core values to support an illegal and unconstitutional occupation...

CurrentlySober 12-07-2011 05:35 AM

I have adopted a poo...
I have PROMISED not to flush, till the new year...

As such, I shall great my poo on a daily basis, talk to it it, sniff it, and let my poo know that IT IS NOT ALONE...

What I find is that people are upset at the way the military is used by politicians. Not the military itself.

The people of the military are very good people. Most of them at least.

It's not their fault Washington DC wants to play a game of Risk on the other side of the world.

If it wasn't for the U.S. Military, we wouldn't be here able to talk shit about them. For that, I respect every single member of the U.S. military, and will always, always buy them a drink, coffee, or whatever, where ever I am when I meet one.

I'd never be the guy in another country full of dust risking my life doing pointless missions in half-assed humvees. You have to respect a guy, or girl, who has the "balls" to do that.
