I have to ask, what happened to this site? I received no email or notification of any sort regarding the takedown of this site and all my traffic that was being sent to the FHGs are now being redirected to private.com

I hate to bump this thread as people probably won't read my response first and will probably only give them more promotion, however I still want to warn anybody sending them traffic and to change their links/remove their content and think twice before promoting them again

They shut it down few days after launch.There was a notification in email,but it was written by small print so maybe you didn't noticed.Oh,and be aware of greeks even when they carry gifts :D

Well wanted to open thread about it when they sent it but forgot about it.Though nobody will care.

Youre right, not many people here promoted it so its not really a big concern for many, however if its brought to peoples attention each time they do throw something up and drop it, people here will start to see a pattern, if it becomes one. And they'll become aware the next time they think about promoting a future site on their network

Im always curious why websites like this get shut down. You already have a server hosting your other sites you can attach it to, you already had the content shot, you already have the affiliates. Leave it up and make what you can? Private really couldn't keep a glamour/art site going and updating?

Now they won't make a dime back, was the cost of keeping it online just too much? Strange.

You'd think Private had the funds to back up any of their projects and tinker with it until it's doing well.

And when youre good enough, you should be able to make a profit on just about anything, I don't think there is a model I couldn't make a profit on. And it's not as if the website didnt' live up to their name, it was tasteful, well shot and just needed some better models and better marketing. From what I noticed

When this thread first went up I wondered why Private would want to adulterate their brand--they're known for high production value, very hardcore content--with softcore. Didn't make a lot of sense, IMHO.
