Did you see signs?
if you didn't then shut the fuck up...
but if you did, did you think Gibson was a pussy in this flick or did he play it right? I kinda prefer the Mad Max Gibson over this new sensitive bullshit. |
it sucks, though i've never actually watched it.
|
i liked it
it was a very fancy movie |
Signs was one of the worst movies of 2002.

2nd best film of 2002 behind LOTR2

I liked it .. totally freaked me out and gave me goosebumps .. as for Mel Gibson .. I think he played the character right .. he was supposed to be a pussy

He played it right. The guy was an ex-preacher, we don't want a total hard-ass. I think the film was well orchestrated.

stupid movie.
And yeah, Gibson was such a pussy. I liked him better in Braveheart. |

I liked it...it creeped me out at the right times...Gibson DID play a relaxed character, but he WAS supposed to be beaten down due to his loss of faith and loss of wife. Plus, he WAS a 'role model' for two small children. I thought it was well done, altho I DO think there are times when directors cast themselves in movies when they shouldn't...(Yes, Shyamalan, I am talking about YOU! LOL)
|
I'm OK with him playing a different kind of character here and there, but the only thing that bugged me was that they didn't grab a damn weapon! Not until the very end. I'm sorry, I don't care if he was a preacher. If green men are trying to storm your house and you know they can be held back by patio doors, you would grab a goddamned kitchen knife!
|
yeah, he was supposed to be a softy, but I'm getting sick of the mel gibson softy.
And while we're on the subject... does EVERY Mel Gibson movie have to have him recovering from his wife's death? Even road warrior had a dead wife in it. :2 cents: |

Why does everyone put actors in the primary role in making movies. I mean, it wasn't a "Mel Gibson" movie, it was a Shyamalan movie. Gibson played a role in a movie that somoene else conceived, wrote, and directed. Why compare this role to his other ones, it's not like he writes the stuff.

i thought that it was a pretty good movie...
Mel Gibson is not Mad Max or Braveheart anymore...just like Stallone is past his Rocky/Rambo stage give him 7 years and he will be in a Mad Max sequel, as his dad...still a good actor tho |

Ahh.
I think I need to move onto chapter 3 of Hooked On Phonics, so I can actually read properly. |
Now you know why I over-use the quote feature
;) |
he's played alot of I've Had A Traumatic Past And Lost My Mind flicks too.... usually combined with the dead wife theme.

hey, Arnold had a kid in Commando too, and look at all the mayhem he was able to accomplish! :glugglug
|
I prefer Lethal Weapon, I think the first one.... where he stumbles out of bed naked. :Graucho
:Kissmy |
was just thinking Gibson has never done an airplane flick, but then I remembered Air America....
|
I liked what I saw, but I fell asleep towards the end...what the heck happened??!!

well let's see...
what i got from that movie is you can beat up an alien with a baseball bat. i'm keeping one in my room from now on just in case i ever get abducted. i play homerun derby with the aliens heads. |
Stop whining bitches.. Signs was not ID4. Those who can't handle thriller movies about faith and cried like babies because they thought it was going to be another "End of the world" movie should watch "War of the worlds" instead.
Now click the link Mad Max ain't dead. http://us.imdb.com/Title?0345292 |
