WP site looks ok in FF but not in IE. WTF ?

www. nastyamateurporn .com looks fine in FF but the main column looks fucked up in IE (it's the same size as the sidebar). I build the themes using artisteer so in theory, they should come out looking fine in all browsers

Anyone have a clue on how to fix this?

slapass 11-26-2011 07:34 AM

No clue on the fix but that is crazy.

Have to display it in compatibility view and it looks as it should, and as it does in other browsers.

IE is trash and should not be allowed on internet.

Jarmusch 11-26-2011 08:10 AM

You need to specify the width of the main column.

In style.css:
Code:

.art-content {
        position: relative;
        z-index: 1;
        width: 688px;
}

That artisteer software seems to be shitty, I see a ton of unnecessary code.

I can back that up, but it has less backdoors than Firefox that is way much unsafer and has become a hackers paradise. Then take in consideration that 70% of them porn surfers that buy our porn use Internet Explorer.

I am having the same issue with a mainstream site of mine, couldn't figure it out so until I do, I had to send ie to an older version of the site :waaaaahh

Glad you found a fix.

It constantly blows my mind that something like 67% of my traffic uses IE.

not every design will work in all browsers.

To the OP: you can also use Firebug in Firefox.

Would love to see IE die, but it's still the number one browser. Wish more people would jump on Chrome.
