Have you seen "A SERBIAN FILM" ?
I thought the french movies "IRREVERSIBLE" and "MARTYRS" were shocking and sick movies, but "A SERBAN FILM" definitely push the limits, this is a very shocking and disturbing movie. Haven't seen something like this in at least 10 years.
I can't believe they can make sick stuff like this. No wonders, they banned this movie in many countries, including Australia, Germany, Brazil and Spain among others. |
Have you seen HAPPY FEET 2?
Sure it looked like a cute animated movie from the previews, but in reality it's 90 minutes of insane Norwegian ice fishermen chopping the feet off of penguins. This is another film which I would push for a ban on. . |
No, I heard about it and do not like gore or snuff. No thanks.

anyway, contact me regarding those link trades, if you are recovered from shock after watching it. |
I finally gave in and watched it. While it's quite disturbing, it is a beautifully shot film.
In the end, it's not as bad as you might think based on the synopsis. It's like nothing I've seen before. |
I thought it was okay, I liked Martyrs much better though. I'm loving the new trend of over-the-top gore/horror films from overseas.

Either way I didn't think it was nearly as bad as people make it out to be(bad as in the gore/content/etc). My favorite line of the whole movie is the very last one. That was some fucked up shit. |

That trailer looks pretty cool.
|
they shouldn't allow sociopaths to make movies. I like sick shit too, but only if its all in good fun.
|
A line from the movie: "New born porn! NEWWWW BORNNNNN PORNNNNN!"
This flick was so wrong in so many ways. :1orglaugh |

Haven't seen it, nor do I want to...

I've never seen a Serbian movie, but I recently watched a few French movies on Netflix as they have a decent selection. Carlos, Crimson Rivers and both of the Mesrine movies which were all pretty goof movies.
One thing I notice is French directors seem to go out of their way to have naked guys in their movies and they always go for the penis shot. Seems kinda odd when they will parade around some hairy dude's ass or dick and half the time barely give you a titty shot. |
that movie will make you sick, but you must watch it, its pushing the limits...
|
i'm simply without comment for this movie ...
|
I decided to not watch it not because of all the gore but because of the ones that praised that film ...
|
Thats nothing, if you want to see a sick and disturbing movie then watch "The Phantom Menace"

Seriously though one intense film about the Bosnian war called "The Savior" has got some pretty disturbing scenes of brutality which were documented. . |
The film is very powerful. Since I am Bulgarian, neighboring Serbia, I can definitely relate to what Serbian Film ultimately says. I suspect one would understand the movie far better if born on the Balkans. It is easily marginalized as gore or snuff, but I maintain that there is very little, if any, gratuitous violence in it. There is an understated social commentary throughout the movie, including behind every concept and act of violence. For example:
Cheating war vet's wife: illustrates how the regime's warmongering decisions affect families Baby Porn: The system fucking over the children of Serbia, leaving them no future The rape scene at the end: brother vs brother (Yugoslavia's story), the robbing of any dignity, the inevitable violent revolt of the oppressed vs the oppressors Suicide in the end: a family killed, salvaging its dignity through death The mysterious man and his bodyguards at the end: illustrates how those really in charge at the highest level of these horrors ultimately escape justice I saw it twice, can't watch it again for sure. I recommend not watching it with a female or if you are one (with some exceptions :thumbsup). |

The point is that violent acts of comparable extremity did happen during the near 10 year Yugoslav civil war. So while to you this may seem like gratuitous violence, to a Serb it looks like something that may have happened to a friend or a relative. So for that reason I'd argue that it advances the plot, due to its factual relevance. And believe me, I hated Machete for example, that was pointless gratuitous violence. |
I just watched it...OMG, where does one get such ideas??? Was the producer playing himself in the film?

http://www.richlovatt.com/wp-content...jar_binks3.jpg *link hotten I remember there was a fan edited version of Episode 1 that removed JarJar and a majority of the stupid shit in that movie. The edited version was WAY better, but felt the wrath of Lucas via his legal team. |

Yo, have you seen Spungebob the movie. Shit is like a natural acid trip dude.

On the surface it appears to be a bloody homage to 70's exploitation films, but in reality it is a sharp commentary on the plight of both illegal and legal aliens living along the U.S. border. . |
so suddenly every movie with a lot of sick violence and gore is actually something else, something very thoughtful, even noble.... yeah right
