Are there some WP plugin that can "sniff" f.ex. news sites for keywords, and when found post the article on the blog?

just use a standard rss aggregator plugin like wp-o-matic or whatever.. head over to google news, perform a search for your desired keyword/keyphrase and at the bottom of the page, get the rss feed for those results. then, import the feed url into your aggregator plugin. that's all.

i have a plugin that searches twitters trending topics, then autoblogs from various sites from that.

Yes, I am using this now but I only get parts of the articles and no photos. The thing is I want to collect military articles regarding certain topics and from certain countries.
