I thought Thanksgiving was going to suck...
It was amazing. We woke up, hit up a friend and went to the beach for a few hours. The water was warm, waves big and sun was out.
Figured there would be no dinner this year.
Called up a friend last minute to go out to dinner, got a tweet from a producer buddy asking us to come over so I invited them to dinner...group of us ate thanksgiving dinner at a local joint and then went back to their place. Then ended up at the neighborhood version of gay cheers and caught the second half of the 49ers and Ravens game.
The one thing that worried me about moving down here were holidays like thanksgiving where we wouldn't go home.
Tonight I realized that in seven short months I have a new group of close friends that I can rely on for a good time.
Its also weird how nothing closes down here on thanksgiving. All the bars, stores and restaurants were packed. Maryland was a ghost town on Thanksgiving.
After over two months of four hospitalizations I think I am alright again for awhile. Also realized that today as I spent 12 hours out and didn't feel like death. So I am thankful for that.
How was your turkey day?
