"Google Account has been disabled", looking for new premium analytics software

ok,

so today, after using google Analytics and other google tools for over 4 years, I suddenly see information "Account has been disabled" and I don't have access to anything I had there, including gmail account, webmaster tools, analytics, google+ profile, nil.

Even if after few weeks they will reply to my email and reactivate my account I just realised I actually could have just lost all my websites stats from over 4 years... and this definitely is one of the most precious tools.

So... good bye Google Analytics, I need some more reliable commercial product, no matter what the price is, as long as they don't mind adult content and are at least as good as G.A.

Any recommendations there?

GFY google :thumbsup

Any idea why?

Emil 11-22-2011 03:44 PM

Wow, that is pretty scary considering I got tons of info in my gmail-account...

This is the problem with google being such a monoply on the web and even growing further into stuff offline. You do something that violates their rules on one product and you lose acces to everything with them..

They are probably updating your account. I rec'd this email the other day from them:

Quote:

Dear Google Analytics user,

We?re excited to share that the new version of Google Analytics will soon be activated in your account. In addition to a redesigned interface that makes it even easier to explore your data, you?ll also notice some significant new features. Here are a few of our favorites.

Google Analytics Real-Time
Real-Time reporting shows you what?s happening on your site - right now! The reports are updated continuously and each pageview is reported seconds after it occurs on your site. You?ll find Real-Time reports in the ?Home? tab.

Multi-Channel Funnels
See which channels your customers interacted with during the 30 days prior to converting or purchasing. Conversion path data includes interactions with many media channels, including clicks from paid and organic searches, affiliates, social networks, and display ads.

Video demo & Usage guide

Mobile Reporting
More and more, visitors are using mobile devices to browse the web. Mobile reports in the new version of Google Analytics help you understand how mobile visitors are interacting with your site. You can even see which mobile devices your visitors use and optimize for those devices.

Flow Visualization
Flow Visualization is a beautifully designed and highly sophisticated tool for graphically showing how visitors navigate through your site. We've completely re-imagined and redesigned the navigation tools available in the old version of Google Analytics.

Video demo & Usage guides for Visitor Flow, Goal Flow

Over the next few weeks as we make Google Analytics v5 the default for all users, we are simultaneously rolling out the report email scheduler and PDF export.

Need to check something in the old version?
We think you?ll enjoy all the features of the new version but if you need to refer to the old version, there is a safety latch. Look in the top right corner of Google Analytics and you?ll see a link for Old Version. Switch back and forth as much as you need, but keep in mind, that the old version will only be available until early next year.

Want help adjusting to the new version?
The Google Analytics Help Center is up to date on all the step by step of how to navigate Analytics using the new version. We have also been running a series on the Google Analytics blog that explores many of the changes and new features. And, there is a section of the Google Analytics Help Forum where you can ask questions and discuss the new version.

To stay up to date on new features, make sure you opt-in to receive Newsletters in your Google Analytics account settings. We?re excited to bring you this new, state-of-the-art Google Analytics.

Happy Analyzing,
the Google Analytics Team

I definitely had my real age there, which is 29, not < 13. I used google checkout pretty often and I remember age 18+ was the must to start using it.

google + has led to people losing their entire google accounts. If you have a fake name there they kick you out of everything.

I had fake name at the beginning and I got warning, I changes it to real name (my profile has been approved) and in the same time google+ released Pages, so I created page for my website, adult orientated, however I didn't publish any R-Rated content there... but then again, even if they do decide to reactivate my profile I will still look for alternatives, google monopoly is becoming ridiculous. I will do whatever I can do improve my position there, but I will no longer rely on their other products.

jhmplondon 11-22-2011 05:54 PM

why don't they also disable all their ads on the web for my account ;)))

Meaning, send a ton of good valid traffic, do whatever you feel you could get a way with, then stop forever. Also, if you decide to beg and somehow get your account reactivated, you'll NEVER make the same money as you did in the past. In short, walk away and start over. If you need help doing that let me know.

WTF are you talking about :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Why not use AWstats or Webalizer? Arent those the most accurate statistics?

sort of, just not nearly as in depth. People will say anything reading the logs off the server would be the most accurate. But my opinion is these online stats have more information tools.

I've been trying out piwik. Overall it's ok but I really hate how they lump pageviews in with "actions"... Been meaning to try this one out http://www.openwebanalytics.com/

AJHall 11-22-2011 09:12 PM

I'm testing www.getclicky.com right now and so far it seems pretty good.
