Huff Post: Fox News Viewers Know Less Than People Who Don't Watch Any News: Study
"Fox News viewers are less informed than people who don't watch any news, according to a new poll from Fairleigh Dickinson University."
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/1...n_1106305.html Geeze. :D |
Yes, but they are MORE misinformed than most ... so there!
|
As far as i'm aware, we dont get Fox news here, but we do have a UK version of the Huffington Post and it is really, really bad and overtly biast in its reports!
|
People who watch foxnews would never read or look at the huffington post. They think it's all lies and left wing spin.

I think the survey just shows something about the people in NJ.
|
I dont read it with any preconceived notion of what it is other than a site with articles. I dont think it's supposed to be news, but opinion. Thats what I think foxnews is as well.
|
I'm just guessing that people who take polls associated with The Huffington Post probably HATE all Republicans and HATE Fox News.
It's kinda weird. My idea of "conservative" means FISCAL conservative...and NOTHING to do with the religious right. And my idea of "liberal" is a socially conscious "hippie" type of non-violent "love-fest" kinda person...and NOTHING to do with some of the hate-filled so-called "liberals". I think both of those political parties lost their way back in the 1970's and never came back. |
It's not what news you read, it's what news you believe is most accurate, and every article is on its own no matter where it comes from... there is no such thing as a news site without bias so criticizing one over the other is purely masturbation...
op don't you get your news from conspiracy sites anyway? Have you gotten to the stage where you think everyone above you is a lizard person? That's my favourite... |
Nutin good ever came out of Fairleigh Dickinson University....must be some kinda of tofu hippie latte sipping elite college....

That seems like a pretty poorly put together survey really. The premise alone is quite bias.

There is a difference. |
the handful of potential employees we had apply to us from fairleigh dickinson were some of the least qualified people we ever had walk thru the door.
I don't see how they're in position to judge ANYONE on what they know. |
I can walk into a church on sunday and survey 100 people and all 100 people will think every person in this thread is a pervert
|
All news sources have some form of bias.
However, best part about Fox News is that they actually went to court and won a verdict that says they dont actually have to broadcast real news. |
|
This is no surprise to anyone with an IQ over 80.

I agree.
You have to basically unlearn all the propaganda and bullshit shoveled into your head by the the main stream media to have ANY hope of correctly discerning reality. :2 cents: |
The only legitimate news source is John Stewart. The left and right just want u fighting amongst yourselves so they can have your daughters.

He also talks about snorting coke, the young "houseboys" he has locked in his cellar, and I watched a segment of him going to see John Lydon (Johnny Rotten of The Sex Pistols) in concert and after the show he licked Lydon's armpit on a dare! lol You're kinda missing the guy's sense of humor I think. You should watch RedEye one evening. That show is fucking hilarious. And Gutfield is funny as hell on it. |

Having watched him every night on Red Eye and seeing The Five a few times during the day, I tend to think he was either being tongue-in-cheek or else trolling on Bob Beckel (they make a hilarious duo with their back and forth "arguing") I've seen the guy a million times, and I've never had any indication that he really believes that people hate us for our freedom. But I'm sure he's said it to fuck with people a lot (just going by what he writes and what he does on his show and his style) |

It's kinda like watching trash t.v. And they all still do "real" news on the half hour "breaks" (funny they would call doing actual news a "break" lol) But the one thing I REALLY hate about 24 hour news channels is when they focus on just ONE story for days at a time. Like the other day when the old Natalie Wood case was brought back up. They proceeded to forget about ANYTHING in the world except that case. Every channel, every minute. And they would even give us "updates" on the case...even though nothing has happened differently since their first report. lol |
