one word - Linux.

I might have to do that.

I tried Ubuntu once.
It didn't work well with the computer I was using at the time and got tired
of trying to find this addon/plugin etc..

nothing worse than computer issues uggghh

And of course it happened when I'm right in the middle of doing a job for someone.

That's probably what happened 50% of the time when somebody posted
"my programmer flaked!".

i switched to ubuntu as my main machine about 6 months ago and its pretty awesome for development. its a more natural platform for working with Linux servers.

only thing i keep a windows pc for is photoshop and testing..

I've never had to do a factory restore. Then again, I've never bought a computer built in a factory.

I thought I would never say this but it really rocks!
and I'm like 100% more productive than on linux...

WIndows 7 is the best thing Microsoft put out for a desktop since Win2k Pro

Wonder what 8 is going to look like. They say its coming out for Beta before the end of year year.
