Blood Money Back in Business, Baby.
 

When one of the threads on my recent mess was still active, someone requested that I let everyone know when my program was back up and running. Well, I have good news.

All three of my paysites are now excellently hosted with XFR. They are back to being regularly updated, and are converting well again with the tiny bit of traffic I have left. The big news is that my CCBill rep tells me I have my account back. We are once again processing sales and letting people into the members areas properly, and better yet, the money should be going to me now.

I had hoped that the association with DarkDollars would allow us to pool our promotional resources. However, now that that has failed, I am back to the task of making Blood Money a knockout niche affiliate program.

I have taken this troubled time to get things back in order. I won't stop there, though. The endless march of progress continues.

You can now make a true 50% on all sales, including rebills and repeat sales-- I pay the CCBill percentage out of my half. That means you can make up to $45 in a single sale, and quite a lot more with rebills. The program is linked up for all the sites, so if you send someone to one of my sites, and they sign up for another, you make your cut.

I have also made the Blood Money site the single place to get banners, free promo content, etc. for all three sites. The program now has features to compare with just about any partner program, even though its small. You have all sorts of tools to promote my sites, which are, frankly, nowhere near overexposed. ;)

Heh. But that's not all, folks. In the near future, I will be adding some more hosted galleries and free promo content. Back from the ashes, Blood Money lives again.

Thanks. I never really left, but now the program and the sites are back to make us all some money. Nice to think that I might be able to do a little more than putting food on our table this month.

To make the best of the program, though, I need to keep on moving forward. What should I do to make my little program more inviting?

I'm not out of business... and things are in order enough that I won't be any time soon. I wouldn't say things are totally straightened-out yet, either, though. Close enough for now, though. I can make my affiliates money again.

I am looking to do some tests with higher levels of traffic. The sites get by on very little, but I think a major promoter could do quite well. Would anyone be interested in trying-out a 75% payout in exchange for serious traffic?

That's good to hear. That's ok that you're getting little traffic. The point is that you're now doing your OWN thing again. That's the important thing.

It's always better to do your own thing and have less traffic and less money than to partner with someone else and have to deal with their added shit along with the added traffic and money.

Yeah, I know what you mean. But still, now that I have control of my business, I'd like to make some money with it.

That is a result of the account still being with DarkDollars in the ccbill database. However, my rep assures me I have it back, so I assume the change-over is coming.

Gotcha. I would be interested in promoting a niche like this but I have never tried it before. You got any pointers or any tips you could email on it? I like the pricing structure and I would think it would generate more signups from that but I have 0 ideas on how to push this niche. Thanks.

The pricing structure is one that we spent a lot of time fine-tuning for our sites. Conversions are very good, considering the traffic.

This niche is not so different from most others. In most cases, what you know about marketing will serve you just fine.

My advice, given the personal character of the sites, and the nature of the audience, is to be sure to be honest with people. I wouldn't use blind traffic, or go over the top with hardcore references, for instance.

From there, the main thing is to avoid the wrong traffic. Obviously, some types of traffic are just right out. If you can find gothic traffic, that is perfect. Amateur, erotic art, and light fetish traffic work pretty well with my sites.

Hey, Ratboy... I just noticed how close you are to a thousand posts. Congrats. And thanks for all the support. I'm glad to have my own program to work on again, too. Onwards and upwards.

I would have hit 1k a long time ago, but we have been pretty busy. Kitty just did a documentary which should air on Tech TV in several months where they filmed her first cam show ever. Just getting the site fully functional and doing photoshoots has really sucked all my time away from participating in message boards.

I plan on a one-timer for my 1000th for our affiliate program.

It won't be for another several months at least. We haven't heard exactly the scheduled date from the producers. I just hope it gets aired before the kiddies leave college. It is supposed to be a series of documentaries covering technology and sex, with camgirls as the focus of one show.
