I noticed big G is taking this seriously...
 

I noticed that big "G" is now taking the updating of sites much more seriously. It seems that some of the sites I had which were ranking and getting traffic after next to no updates for months are taking a hit these days. Before it was easy to sit and relax...now it seems she's not liking sites not update frequently. Anyone else seeing similar results?

Read up on "Google Fresh", they are definitely giving more weight to sites that frequently update...

I update daily tens of sites and nothing.

Fucking google...

it has never been a secret..i like it..hard work should pay off...lol
sometimes anyway ;)

Time to automate things, or work longer.

That is good news.. tired of getting outranked by sites that never update compared to my regular updated sites :)
I've noticed a bunch of my sites climbing in G lately so maybe that's the reason

Did anyone else see a huge traffic increase to their sites yesterday? I got a huge traffic boost from Google and it looks like its continueing on today...Google has been awesome lately.

My Google traffic has been increasing steadily all the while now, with occasional spikes here and there - yesterday was one of those days.

Yes, I've noticed that on several of my sites. Even if I write a tiny blogpost I can still see my sites jump up in the SERPs.

Question is, if you have a site that's been spanked for not updating, can it get unspanked if you start updating it again and how long does it take?

This same thing has been said for years and years and years and its never been true. Updating a page more often doesn't make it a better search result. Additionally, if you believe regular updates matter, then you believe that you will be beaten by auto generated content every single time.
