Angels Giving Tree - please help us bring Christmas to those in need
 

In memory of Todd Ostrer, we are pleased to announce that we are
reviving a Christmas tradition from years past...we have set up
Angels Giving Tree !!

Angels Giving Tree is a not for profit organization set up with one
simple goal in mind - we want to bring Christmas to those families
that cannot afford to provide a Christmas for their children. We
believe that EVERY child should have a Christmas to celebrate and
our vision of peace on earth and goodwill toward men includes a gift
under every tree !

4 industry vets have put this all in motion and will be helping make
a difference to these families ? Forest, Aly from Max Cash, Sarah
from Fleshlight and JMan from CrakMedia. We hope you?ll join
us !!

Please help us bring Christmas joy to children who would normally
not have a Christmas. You can adopt a family or simply make a
cash donation. This year we have approximately 50 families that
need your help. Having gotten a late start, we are already down
to the wire and ask that interested parties sign up quickly ?
please do not delay.

Once you sign up to be an Angel, you will be able to view families

What I have always loved about this when Todd ran it was that it gave us all a chance to show people - even if it is just ourselves - that our industry is full of loving and kind people rather than the monster image that we are usually given.

We are lucky people that all have a roof over our head and can buy the kids in our lives a holiday gift. Reach out, help those that aren't as lucky as ourselves.

In the UK, we have strict rules for charities, I was going to start one a few years back but with all of the procedures, it's pretty impossible to become a charity organiser these days due to the amount of gits wanting to steal the money. Well done & congrats :thumbsup

I was talking with my family this weekend and we decided that instead of giving gifts to each other that we will adopt a few kids. My 6 year old niece is so excited about the idea she can't wait to go shopping :winkwink:

Jman that is awesome. I'll definitely take care of a few more as well. My kids are way way blessed with an amazing home and material things. Even dealing with autism in our household I can't imagine having to go through it without means to even provide a super Christmas for your kids. Just wanted to register and start with one now while I was reading all this.

iPod shuffles are THE thing apparently :)

Few years ago when PattyeCake was running this I adopted a boy and a girl from a single mom family. Sent the boy a skateboard and little girl a barbie doll and a pair of barbie jeans.

2 weeks after I received a letter from MOM with drawings from kids. Basically made me ball out of joy, apparently the girl did not want to remove her jeans for 4 days. It felt selfish as I thought I was getting more out of this then the actual kids.

Guys, this is the best reward you can give yourself, an honest and pure gesture for an unfortunate kid.

Let's try to get as many families possible adopted.
