George W. Bush vs. John Kerry - THE GFY Primaries

Here we go...the choice is simple....

Although there really is no "correct" choice....

Who's gonna win?

Unless we see a dark horse third candidate....the outcome looks to be predetermined.

This is what happens when you have a two party system dominated by campaign financing.

xxxdesign-net 02-03-2003 01:38 PM

John F. Kerry is a cool dude... more to the left then That Lieberman ass!

Yes, millionaires often have a way of understanding the plight of the poor and disenfranchised

Yo Adrian 02-03-2003 01:46 PM

Going to have to go with Bush given the choice, but I'm not happy about it. I really wish there were other candidates worth voting for :(

Im thinking of that ex vermont governor, David Dean I think. Heard him on the radio the other day, and he sounded smarter than Bush (not hard, I know) as well as not the standard tax and spend democrat.

Look in to him, I think he may have a shot, and may be less shitty than the other choices.:thumbsup

I think that Powell may very well be the first black president. I'd vote for him in a heart beat.

I wish Biden from Delaware would get into the race on the democrate side.

But between Kerry and Bush I'd have to vote for Bush. Kerry's to liberal for me.

Dr. Howard Dean is the man you are speaking of.

Reality check bro, none of us will be alive to see a black President. Not even pipecrew or the dank cash children. Maybe a jew, maybe, but not a black man.

UncleJimmy 02-03-2003 02:44 PM

Only few things will boot old GW out, and that's a continually fucked up economy, no satisfactory resolution on the Iraq & N. Korea thing....

even then he still has a good chance unless someone can come up with a serious contender.

but I doubt the democrats will push it too hard this next election, I think they'll be sitting it out till the next go round....

I'm thinking that by then they'll assume that everyone will be ready for a change and it'll be a slam dunk...

rooster 02-03-2003 02:45 PM

I think condoleza rice has a chance in the future. Shes conservative, and also would get some swing vote from blacks and women that the usual republican wouldnt get.

NoCarrier 02-03-2003 02:46 PM

You guys really think that we are going to make it until the next election?

I'm looking at the current geopolitical status of the planet and I'm starting to think things will go bad very soon.

Did you look into your crystal ball to be sure?

As long as it's not Sharpton I'm fine.

What do you think? End of the world or what? Please. You consider the world to be worse off than it was in 1914 or 1929 or 1940?

So, since according to the news today GW's budget includes the largest projected deficit in American history, we can assume you would prefer the standard "don't tax and spent anyway" Republican, huh? Wish I could run my business that way ...

Doggy,
What kills me is that people don't realize that we are going to be killed with state taxes, and real estate taxes as the feds aren't going to be funding the states.

So who pays in the end?

Bush is borrowing and spending wildly, which means that taxes will have to be raised, just not while he is in office. It's a typical Republican trick and one that stupid people continue to fall for. He will put us back into deep debt and then leave it to some Democrat to fix things once he's gone.

George W. Bush is fiscally irresponsible.

I never said it was going to be the end of the world. I was being more sarcastic :) But I think we are in a period where things can go wrong globally. We have multiple crisis right before our eyes.

- The India/Pakistan (Kashmir dispute). Even if the situation is better than it was, terrorists are still going in from PoK.
- The Nuclear crisis with North Korea.
- The upcoming IRAQ war.
- The ongoing situation in the middle east.

Things can go wrong if the pre-emptive strike strategy really happens.

And 1940? What happened in 1940? World War 2 began in 1939. Maybe I am missing important events that I do not know.

I am not a political analyst, but I think we are in an unstable period.

The world was in WW II.

-------------

Crisis is the norm. The condition of the world is as stable (or unstable) as any other decade.

World War I in the teens
Depression in the 20s and 30s
WW II in the 30s and 40s
Korea/US in the 50s
US/USSR/Cuban Missile Crisis in the 60s
Vietnam/US in the 70s
Breakup of the USSR in the late 80s and early 90s
Gulf war in the 90s

That's just a start. Make your own list. It's fun ;-)

LOTS more where that came from.

Marcus 02-03-2003 04:47 PM

Kerry couldn't even win the governorship of Massachusetts.
