THANKS Everyone for RIP TODD/aka Sextoyking...
Hello everyone. Fletch here. Many of you know me and probably most never heard of me. I’ve never gotten on the boards much. If you do know me it is because you knew Todd Ostrer (aka Sextoyking). I was Todd’s business partner for over 17 years. Todd was always the front man for our company (the board whore if you will). I was always the behind the scenes guy. I apologize for not being the first to let everyone know about Todd’s passing. It was my intention to do so, however, I have been dealing with a lot as you can imagine. I heard from others that a nice thread was started about him. I’ve read it and want to thank you for all the nice comments and condolences.
Todd was dealing with a lot of health issues and it took its toll on him. He was a big part of our company and our business suffered greatly without him at full speed and at the helm. Financially it devastated him. I just didn’t know to what extent until his passing. He leaves behind 5 daughters and a grandson, the youngest daughter of which is 10 years old and they literally have nothing. They desperately need help to pay for funeral expenses, medical bills and transition to life without their dad whom was their sole provider. Todd and I are old school having been around since the beginning. You all were family to him and why I am reaching out to all of you for a call to action for his family. In the past when one of our own was in need we all stepped up to help out and Todd was usually the first one in line if he didn’t get things started himself first. He was a generous soul and our community is and always has been too. With the help of our old partner Peter Felix (from webinc.com design days) and his company krea.com and kreadult.com I have put up a donation website for Todd’s family. A special thanks to him for his help in getting this done and set up so quickly. I respectfully ask this community and those that knew Todd either personally or professionally for their help through donations in any amount and thank you in advance for your support and generosity. It goes without saying that, in these times, it is tough for almost everyone and giving a donation in any amount is a stretch and sacrifice. However, if you can find it in your hearts to help his family it would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Donations can be made by: - Going to toddostrerfund dot com and clicking the donation button - Directly at any US BANK branch under the name Todd A. Ostrer Family Memorial Fund - By mail to: Todd A. Ostrer Family Memorial Fund, PO Box 1697, Gresham, OR, 97030 On a side note I also want to thank Forest. I heard he is starting up the Adopt a Child/Family for Christmas cause again in Todd’s memory. Todd was Jewish, but he always had a soft spot for Christmas and the kids. So, please also support Forest and http://www.angelsgivingtree.org. Thanks again everyone. Fletch |
Heya Rich,
You guys were definitely old school. I'll be making a stop at US Bank this week and throwing in some for his family. Todd was always helping out others and it is only right we should help his family in their time of need. |

I didn't know Todd personally, but I was saddened when I learned about his story, so I went ahead and made a small donation to his Memorial Fund, in order to let his children and loved ones know that Todd positively impacted and touched so many others lives in his short life. If everyone makes a small donation, collectively we can make a difference. :2 cents: RIP Todd... ADG |
Two posts in one night? Addicting isn't it? ;)
http://toddostrerfund.com/ is the link, and I have shared it and made a little donation. Good luck. |

Never done a lick of business with the guy but damn you could not get any nicer. He's hit me up out of the blue before to tell me not to worry about trolls as they weren't worth the time. When I told him I didn't mind and they actually made me money he said something to the effect of "Carry on then, just checking on you. :)" He also helped me out with some information on a business that would have directly competed with his had I continued. I've never seen a bad word about him in all my time online from anyone. Great guy.
Donation sent, I wish it were more. |
I never knew Todd but I wanted to help his family so I made a donation. Rest in peace Todd and bump for everyone else to help.

Yeah...me being a newbie poster and replier I can tell I will not be able to keep up with every post. However, I'm gonna do my best. Thank you 18teens, fletchXXX (nice name btw) and junction for your donations. If I miss anyone over the next several days I will just thank you ahead of time and know that I personally want to thank each and every person that donates. Thank you very much.

True, plus anyone that has ever actually run a business can tell you, many times (especially in small businesses), most of the money gets plowed right back into the business, so that even though their business is generating money, they are not necessarily set for life. One incident totally out of their control, like a payment processor going under (iBill), or unexpected emergency medical bills, and most people's lives can be flipped into chaos in a short amount of time (believe me, I know). Anyway, I am sure that my small contribution, MaDalton's, and all of the other donations, will provide some assistance and comfort to the Ostrer family. If the GFY mods, or a company that has GFY "sticky" privileges, could pin this thread for a day that would be a nice gesture... ADG |
Rest in Peace Todd. Donation sent.

we need more people in this world like todd.
|
Yeah, we really do.

Todd was always so friendly. I would often think, "what did I do to get so much on his good side". :) (I guess it is ok to smile)
Just a real good guy. |

Todd was a kind hearted guy, such a shame, 40 years too early :(
Is there a wife? or grandparents/uncles/aunts to help his daughters? i'll donate but it won't help much. |
Wow... this is devastating news. Todd was such a kind guy. Back in the day he used to forward me Fedex shipments from sites that wouldn't send international. Never asked a dime for it. We would just shoot the breeze on ICQ every now and then and that was that.
I dunno what to say. |
BTW can anyone link the original thread? Search is broken and I couldn't find it flipping through the first few pages of threads.
|
RIP Todd, you will be missed!

Hi Mutt. There is an "ex" wife (who's no help) and there is some family on his side (ie 2 sisters, a brother and aunt & uncle), but no one has contacted me or come forward about help in any way...especially financially. I don't think any of them are in a position to help....Todd was always helping them. There's just me to help Todd's family. I am "Uncle" Rick to all of his kids and it has really been all on me. That is why I have come to "our" community....the community Todd loved so dearly for your help. Sorry to all that have posted that I have not been on the thread. Yesterday was an emotional day as I took the family (for the first time since his passing) to the house so that each could get their stuff and take memories of their dad from the home. To those that have donated already THANK YOU very much. For the rest of our community please donate what you can. I don't care if its even just a dollar. Please don't NOT donate because you don't think it will help. Every little bit helps and I know that OUR community can step up....even during hard times and make a real difference, or even more, because I've seen OUR community in action first hand do it. I don't know, maybe things have changed too much in our industry, but OUR community has always set the precedents...the first to take new mainstream technology and use it to our advantage and show the world how the technology can be really used. How affiliate programs should really work, how to take the adult porn industry more mainstream and become more acceptable and have always stepped up when one of our own is in need. Where are you now community? Your help is needed here and although its only been a couple of days I'm a little surprised at the lack of response? Every little bit helps my people. If you just cannot afford to donate then please spread the word to others and those who can. In this day and age of technology getting the word out is easy. Back in the day when we raised money for one of our own in need we raised tens of thousands of dollars and we didn't have the tech we have today. We only have each other. Your help is needed. Please help anyway you can and I personally thank you right now for whatever you can do. Fletch |
Woow, this is horrible, I wish his family all the strength!
I made a small donation, hope it contributes |
I didnt know Todd but I have 3 kids and can imagine what it takes to secure their needs, so Id donate if I could. My problem is I dont have paypal. Id say paxum is becoming the standard in this industry, so put paxum on the donate page and Im on board.
