best place to put 'share this' links on blog?
 

whats the best place. I was thinking for posts maybe on the bottom. But for the main page of the blog on top below the main title.

Or is it better to have one of those sticky bars which scroll along?

depends what you want to share, the page or the individual post? put it everywhere imho that way you have scope to share something specific if needed

I've added a widget to the top of my sidebar with a small share bar. I've also installed a plugin called dynamic widgets so it will only show on the front page (not archives etc).

Then on blogs with higher traffic I also have a share bar in each post. Search for addthis plugin in wordpress :)
There you can control size and placement etc.

I can't stand those widget page bar things.
