its amazing how many european anti-semites there are.
can anyone explain it?
is it jealousy of their success regardless of the circumstances?
Is it the typical euro's lack of success that breeds this?
what? someone explain it. I find it very interesting.

It's a few things,
1) Is the reference to the Jewish people as the "chosen" people. Most people hear this from the time they are very small and form an opinion about what jews think of themselves. It's human instinct to dislike someone who you believe thinks they are better than you. Again this is a perception not a reality.
2) It's the fact that in general they have more wealth or at least "seem" focussed on having more wealth and this is due partly to the cultural difference in working hard for your descendants rather than for yourself. Many wealthy Jews come from a family where they suffered several generations of harsh poverty to dig out and get where they are today. Typical Americans or Europeans do not focus on building wealth for anyone past themselves or their own children and even that work ethic is rarely passed on. The idea that something was "handed" to someone makes people angry but the truth is that somewhere in the family, a lot of people broke their asses to earn so their kids could avoid suffering.
3) It's the resilience of the Jewish people that make others nervous. The ability to bounce back from near total annihilation and prosper has been the characteristic of the genetic line of Judaism for thousands of years. Many other groups have done this but none are remembered like the Jews and truthfully it is both their dedication to their faith and their differences (and pride in their differences) that make this resilience more memorable. Anyone who has faced hardship knows how hard it is to make a come-back and seeing a people do it so many times brings in fear and insecurity, perfectly normal human emotions.
4) It's fear of the difference in cultural and religious tradition. These differences make them stand out in a crowd. It is the enemy of establishment to be non conforming and that is what people focus on.
Add up 1,2,3,and 4 and then tack on the horns and baby eating...and you have all you need to breed hate. :feels-hot
But seriously if you take all this stuff into consideration, you see why people notice the greed or wrongdoing of Jews and ignore or fail to notice the same behavior in other groups when in fact these traits are very homogeneously spread throughout humanity.
just my :2 cents:
