Vegas People - Help Please
OK I have been wanting to come live in Vegas for a couple of years now, yes crazy I know... the idea is to come live for 3 months, I wanted to make it January through to April so I can take in Internext Vegas and the Phoenix Forum... (just about doable)
Not sure if I will be able to pull it off this year... or if it will have to wait till 2013... But here's my question... what are rental prices like ? I ideally want to find a 4 bedroom house, with a pool, wireless ect... furnished of course... would be on a 3 month lease. I ideally want something on the strip... but know that's very unlikely... Anyone want to give me some input/suggestions :thumbsup PS yes I know I might be a bit of a NOOB, and should go Google it... but I have, and couldnt really find anything... just hoping some local natives might be able to direct me in the right direction :thumbsup |
Bump...
No help for a brother :( would it help if I said I was a sister ?

You're only coming for three months? It'll be cold during that time, so you better get a heated pool. Maybe get a vacation home if you're only staying that long. Check vrbo.com for the best vacation rentals. Here's a direct link to the Vegas area homes: http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals...vada/las-vegas

Common misconception regarding Vegas: warm year round. It's not. Mid November through mid March is down right cold. Not Minnesota cold but freezing for us locals. Hell, a couple of years ago we had 8 inches of snow. Highs in the 50's, night time lows in the 30's are normal.
If you can wait April and May are great. 80's to 90's. To answer your question though, we have a couple of rentals that go for $1400 - $1600. Thats with a pool but long term and not furnished in the suburbs. Both rented but giving you a basic idea. If you want furnished on the strip I would go with a condo but that will set you back a lot more, especially short term on a monthly basis. There are some pretty cool furnished mid century modern 'old Vegas' style places you can rent in the $2k area but the neighborhoods can be dicey. Then you can go high end in the suburbs (Ridges, Anthem, MacDonald Highlands) and get a furnished 5k sq. ft home for $4k to $10k per month. Of course with a little searching you can always find deals and work out something directly with owners. Good Luck. :thumbsup |
Look up a vegas realtor on realtor.com and call around. Many of them are hurting for work and will gladly play the rental agent game for you. But I agree with the others, for that time frame I wouldnt worry about a swimming pool.
