Entering Alexa top 100.000
 

Yeah! PornProx is entering the top 100.000 on alexa! Time for a drink!!!

But is the alexa ranking still valuable? Does google use it for it's ranking?

I have sites that get 500 hits a day and they are like rank 50k on alexa and other sites that get 30k and dont rank on top 100k.

your alexa rank == how many indians are using your site for some reason or another.

top 100k is nothing.

why you care? are you making money? if you started making money by entering that 100k, congrats, if no growing sales, why to care? :) its just stupid number ... but yeah, some people still care, like one gay program, wanted to send them sales from my gay network where i am like 1:100 ratio, but they needed to have alexa 500k and under, with my sites that are getting like 50 hits per day it is hard, but they dont understand what seo means, they needed to be my sites ranked in alexa, i said fuck off assholes i will send the sales elsewhere and i am sending them elsewhere ... so, enjoy your useless alexa ranking :)

add a "download the alex toolbar" link to your site, then your indians use it, then your ranking goes up, simples

Not sure if this is still the case, but I think in the past even just the visits from the webmaster to his own site with the toolbar installed were able to significantly skew the alexa rankings.

all the sites in the alexa top 100 are there just from east indians using the toolbar, yes.

Google doesn't take Alexa ranking into account for anything. Never has...

Congrats! Now take a look at the countries you are getting traffic from and make sure you have all their alternative methods of payment on your site so you can profit from that foreign traffic. (Your top 5 countries do not process with credit cards)

What about mywebsiteworth.com, does google take those values into account?

Why should Google take any values of anybody? Google is the one who is the boss here and makes standards and not those creepy sites people have never heard of. If by any chance any of them gets more respectable, it will be simply bought. Site or its software. End of story.
