At some point in my life, I want to do this! Unfortunately, that point is not yet here. With school, work, and everything else going on, there is no time. But, when school is finished, my plan is to take leave from work and do exactly what you're planning!

Haha nice I am planning to do the same in the near future, just need to get some projects stable so I can run them while traveling.

Although I plan on doing less hopping and staying in certain areas for longer periods to get a better feel for the country.

I would love to - But, like most at the moment money is the issue.

I've seen a lot of it in my time so I am not bitter about it, but there are some places I did not have time to really appreciate the first time around.

1 piece of advice - Do not miss New Zealand on your trip, the South Island in particular - Its staggering.

I have been talking about an overland trip through Africa for years. It takes about 3 months and is fairly cheap. Maybe next year :).

Nice. If you want to seriously raise some hell, I recommend Orlando and Costa Rica.

i am planning to leave jan or feb 2012, need to take some vaccines for exotic countries first and it takes few months ... i dont know for how long, but it will be flexible on the way, so it may take few weeks or few months or year ... no limits ... but i will be always open for smaller trips on my road, so if you are able to join me for some places, that will be great! :winkwink:

yes man, almost whole europe by hitchhike, then some places by plane and so ... three weeks ago back from spain 2500km around costa blanca and valencia ... cant wait for another trip!

same here, i dont want to be hurry ... always want to go somewhere where i will have where to sleep for few days, if i will like the place, i plan to stay there for weeks, all depends on many things but i want to enjoy the places, not take photos and be happy i have been there :winkwink:
