Time to ditch Blogger and test out Wordpress. Tutorials?
 

GFY Wordpress experts,

I know I know, believe me.

Have only done blogs via Blogger thinking they would have a heads up on SEO due to the obvious, and lately it does seem like Panda favors Blogger. But there are limitations.

Regardless, I'm moving forward with some larger more long term blogs as Blogger is a bit limited, unless I'm missing something.

Looking for any good gfy-approved resources on Wordpress of things that need to be considered before the start for the long run. I would rather keep it simple and pure for Panda, but am totally open to any clever tips/addons that are worth it.

These projects will be for both mainstream and adult. I know there are people on here who live by the Wordpress sword, and would be incredibly grateful for any tips/suggestions at all. Even if they are just things to avoid. Consider my knowledge on Wordpress - zero. Starting from scratch.

I'm looking to share my results on gfy, as someone with very average knowledge of blogs, but with the ability to publish quality unique content. I endeavor to prove that it is possible to make a nice little cash stream from a couple of blogs with minimum financial overhead just by out thinking the next man on content. But am not adverse to spending a decent penny if that's what it takes to "break through".

Any helpful incites would be greatly appreciated. Resources, tutorials, personal observations, do's and don'ts. Really want to give this a sincere effort.

Chris Coyier from css-tricks.com has some excellent stuff. Buy a membership to lynda.com and do the wordpress tuts, as well maybe check out nettuts.com and what they have.
