But i thought everyone was happy and friendly over there?

My gf seems to think so anyway. Think she's been watching too much Home & Away on tv...

AdultKing 10-28-2011 07:31 AM

It must be your area, wouldn't happen in most areas of Perth.

Si 10-28-2011 07:32 AM

2 pricks threw dicks at your car?

seeandsee 10-28-2011 07:32 AM

and the amount of driving i have done in the last few years and this happens just a few k's from my house i would say i live in a fairly good suburb

That coin is a once off, article is terrible but it was minted to show off the capabilities of the new Perth Mint which competes with other Australian Mints for production of coins and banknotes.

I don't see anything wrong with it, it's going to be a showpiece, no worse than the one million gold one dollar coins that used to be centerpiece of the Melbourne Casino.

BIGTYMER 10-28-2011 08:08 AM

Those crazy Aussies!

John-ACWM 10-28-2011 08:28 AM

What idiots...

Bladewire 10-28-2011 08:37 AM

I loved living in Australia for so long. The people there have issues in their culture, like any culture. Can't wait to go back. Sucks about bricks thrown at your car that's fucked :disgust

magicmike 10-28-2011 08:38 AM

You don't like brickball?

It is Australian legal tender and has a denomination of $1 million - well below its gold value.
Perth Mint chief executive Ed Harbuz said the coin was ''the pinnacle of ingenuity and innovation''.

wouldn't the money/value/worth be better spent on something else? just saying, wow you have a 53 million dollar piece of gold, in the shape of a really large coin that is supposed to be worth a million. i don't know much about the economics of australia right now by any means, this just reminds of the type of people that would spend $30 on bottled water because they can or buy a $1000 iphone app just so they can brag that they can

AdultKing 10-28-2011 11:54 AM

I guess it's better than spending billions on Nuclear arsenals or cleaning up after an unchecked relentless crime wave of national gun violence.

Perth is a great city but sounds like you live in a bad area or have really bad luck

Antonio 10-28-2011 12:12 PM

when I lived in South Africa, this was a big craze for awhile - throwing bricks at cars from overpasses on the highway, then stealing from the cars or hijacking them. I think some of these retards were actually doing it for fun....

Frank21 10-28-2011 01:37 PM

I just loved western australia on my 1 year working holiday down under.
The only place i would expect this would be Carnavon, the only place i heard gunshots at night and the supermarket had 2 policeofficers in front of it, unilne anywhere in Australia i had seen.

Now in Holland they do the same. One of the three guys that murdered a woman like this some years ago got out of jail already and participated in some Dutch "big brother" like TV show, but they found out about his past and kicked him out of the cast.

If they do that to me I stop and beat the shit out of them. I would love this to happen on a really quiet forest road, very dark and isolated, first beat the shit out of them and then torture them to death and feed their bodies to the wild boars. It would be a dream come true.

Dude? Really? You MUST be even more wasted than I am. You have actually hurt my (barely-functioning) brain.

I have never ever experienced this in Australia. Traveled all over the country too - most violent place I have been to would be Mildura - the pub closes and the whole place becomes a big boxing match.

marlboroack 10-29-2011 04:42 AM

I would have got out and captured them.. Kept them alive in the basement for 30 day's till you drug them and leave them road side knowing nothing about you or what the fuck just happened. They won't throw bricks at cars anymore.

adultzone 10-29-2011 05:05 AM

Absolutely nice. :)
