Drug Test Corporate Welfare Recipients - Awesome!
|
hahaha - unreal
|
good should be. same with alcohol testing too. Ive heard a ton of stories about how people on welfare buy stuff at the store for people in return for cash to use to buy booze
|
I read somewhere that welfare recipients who were drug tested ended up testing lower than the average public.
I'm very anti drug myself. I could care less about pot - why make pot illegal when smoking is legal? But after that, in order to drive you should have to take a piss test once a year. And make it random too. When I was in the Marines.... They did a surprise piss test on my unit and more than half failed. |
I think it is great, if you can't afford to buy your own food or whatever, then you sure as hell can't afford drugs....
|
So nobody saw "corporate" in the title?
Test the employees of Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, etc. |
Judging from the replies above, it appears you guys didn't actually grasp the concept.
It is a push to drug test CORPORATE Welfare recipients - from congressmen, to senators, to all elected officials, to all executives that have been bailed out, and have taken tax money from the government (ie taxpayers). It is a rebuttal to the idiotic idea of only drug testing the poor - you know... class warfare. Oh well.... this is GFY, so whatcha gonna do?... |

I think it's great. Anyone that gets Tax money should have to pass.... Personally I don't think that the Fed should be giving out money to ANYONE, especially to banks, unions and business, but then that's just me.

the people posting in this thread appear dumber than a welfare recipient stoned out of his gourd.

Since the government gave money to those banks, unions and corps, they feel that they have the right to control how they do business now, which makes sense. So why not control their ability to take drugs also? My point is, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULDN'T BE GIVING MONEY TO ANY OF THEM!! . |

I had to look it up myself but seems that everyone else missed it completely haha
Corporate welfare is a term describing a government's bestowal of money grants, tax breaks, or other special favorable treatment on corporations or selected corporations. The term compares corporate subsidies and welfare payments to the poor, and implies that corporations are much less needy of such treatment than the poor. The Canadian New Democratic Party picked up the term as a major theme in its 1972 federal election campaign.[1] Ralph Nader, an American critic of corporate welfare,[2][3] is often credited with coining the term.[ |

We should test corporate welfare too. We should test everyone. |
The funny thing is they did that in Florida and ended up costing more for the drug testing than if they would have never testing anyone. Meaning it was cheaper just to give the few that didn't pass the welfare money.

Can they come into our houses to test us too? I hope so - that's just a great future for a free country! |

Funny how you right wingers who claim to want to get the govt out of peoples lives push to control as many people as possible. If some of you had your way we would be no different than Iran.
