I have 3 computers side by side in my central command center. I feel like I can rule the world! :1orglaugh

i got three
but one is a 233 and one is a 266

I have a 2 gig, 1 gig and a 433

At the moment I have 18 total. There are 9 at my house (in the living room) and 9 and my partners house. Towards the end of 2001 we had a total of 30 between our two homes and the office.

a pc, a mac, a laptop and a game boy advance :)

13 in my house, of varied platforms... wintel, Irix, macOS & a next-cube for nostalgia's sake..

4 within arms reach... 2 completely intact... 1 configured in a usable manner (ive been using my 300mhz laptop exclusively for the last 5 months and its the 3rd slowest but it does the job)

Computers are like wives. You need to have atleast 4.

3 if you don't count a 486 Linux laptop I keep around for bragging rights and a IBM 730t I use for book reading.

I have 5 in my office (so my partner has 5 too ) and laptop - good new machines , I am still thinking if I need some faster in the future - probably not , becasuse my problem is a space - I have 10 120 Gig HDs

I have one working at the moment, another two needing some love and attention to get them working again

I have 3 at my desk - windows laptop & 2 test unix servers

7 in-house and 3 at the NOC

I have 2 , a 1.8 GHz PIV and a 1GHz Duron

i have 3. +1 on loan. +1 more in the room. +3 +3 +1 +1 +1 in other locations in the house. 14, counting laptops and desktops excluding handhelds. there could be more. i use only 2 of them regularly.

I have 3 total. Plus a dedicated server colocated, if that counts. Plus my dedicated box for serving porn! 1 PC and 1 laptop in my office, plus a PC I use for personal use.

And I thought I was the only one with this computer issue.

in use: 10 computers, mostly laptops - 5 of which are used by employees. 10 servers. couple of load balancers. a pile of large capacity firewire hds (due to large amounts of digital video). wireless LAN home and office.

What kind of wireless? Linksys?

all my stuff is mac (except for the servers of course, which are dells running freebsd), so i use airport wireless.

This is why i can pump out 30 newly encoded dvds/week. I probably got close to 200GB of streaming porn, with a few mirror servers to balance loads.

A few months ago, we had four...

My desktop (G4 dual processor)
My laptop (white 12" iBook)
Vail's laptop (blue original iBook)
My old laptop (orange original iBook)

I traded away the orange iBook, and over the holidays the white one died a horrible fiery death. So we're down to two. Only one each. Seems weird.

I have 4 and 2 server type towers.
All are towers.
One I am using right now and is my work horse.
One is for the family and houses games and other useless stuff.
One will be for linux after I upgrade it. I'll use it for dev and running php, cgi and other scripting in house.

The other hehe I'll turn into a planter for some ivy plant or something. Actually I'll turn it into a audio processor and interface it with an external STR power amp.

The two server type towers? I might just use them for harddrive arrays. Not sure yet or sure if it would work. Kind of new to something like that.
