I managed to scam a ride in a Aston Martin DB9 yesterday...
 

Long story that I wont bore you with.

I am not a 'petrol head' at all. I cant even drive here in Spain, but damn I loved that car.

I want one....

I've drove to Spain from the UK a cpl of times, with a boat hitched & without... a lovely drive through France and the East coast of Spain makes the whole journey worthwhile :thumbsup

Here in the UK, I drove my mates Aston Martin DB9, yes, they are very smooth & nice to drive.... My mrs, sat in the back, the seats way too small, she had to sit across both rear seats.... completely not worth having. :(

Guy I worked with, swore he was in Vegas, walked out of a casino and a drunk asked him to drive him back to his car back to his hotel. Was a DB9. He said only big thing he ever won in Vegas.
I know it sounds BS, but the job he had, required absolute honesty. So I think the story was the truth.
Guy did love cars though, mat on his desk, was a pic of a F-1 Ferrari dashboard.
Look on his face of just getting to drive a DB9. I give him the belief.

Years ago I saw a DB6 going down the street. Identical to the one in Goldfinger. Later when my GF & met we were telling our life histories. She dated the dude. Owned 12 Rolls Royces and didn't even know what the DB6 was until I rented Goldfinger on night. She said,"he had one just like that." Said 2 dates were enough, as he saw her as just another possession, like his cars.
Also, she's 5'2 & he was shorter. Think he had small guy complex issues??

How fun! ...I always wanted a Lotus Esprit. Retracting wheels and submarine capabilities not necessary.

I've drove an Aston Martin Vantage before and it is probably the best car I have ever driven. I've also drove 2 Porsche's, a Lambo Gallardo, a Ferrari, few BMWs, Mercedes etc... the Vanatge was just an absolute dream to drive. If I ever go back to live in Scotland, I'm buying an Aston Martin Vantage.

Anyways, years ago I went with my roommate to test drive some cool cars that had just came out for the hell of it, they would basically let him drive anything because he was well into his 30's (me early 20's)and looked legit or whatever. So we're test driving this z06 just us, and he decides to drift a u-turn back to the dealership a couple miles away. He ended up losing control and we went flying over a curb, took out one of those green power boxes, cut some bushes, jump another curb over a sewer drain and slammed back onto the road. Stopped at 7 eleven to check the damage and there were only some scratches. Went back to the dealership parked the car and quickly changed the subject to another car.. :1orglaugh

Years ago, there was a teenager, who the police finally caught. He went to a guy's house, that had a car for sale. Left his OK car while he went for a test drive . Never came back. Since the car he stole was better than the one he had, he kept going for "test drives" in always better cars. Traded up with each time. Been so long ago, but if I remember right, the last car he traded up to was a Viper.
