Just Alex 10-13-2011 06:39 PM

Danza should win this one easily. I hear he gained weight. He is up to 110 lbs with wet pants on.

Fletch XXX 10-13-2011 06:41 PM

kimbo was more hype than substance, you gotta admit, after watching that white boy take him out ruined him. i liked watching his brawl vids, but he is not a MMA fighter.

period. they marketed him as a monster, but in the end, he brought down by simple kick.

halfpint 10-13-2011 06:45 PM

Havent seen Danza on here since his last fight. Anybody know how he is ?

Former UFC fighter (sigh) Kimbo Slice threw his second punch as a professional boxer last night, and with it he secured his second victory. I?ll say this for the bearded one: he?s efficient. For those thinking that Slice has the ?sweet science? figured out, I would contend that his management and promoters are the ones wearing the lab coats. Their formula? Take one-part YouTube legend, mix with one part Glass Joe, agitate for 20 seconds, and call it a night.

alias 10-16-2011 08:40 PM

Kimbo be representin innanet.

DWB 10-17-2011 01:17 AM

Danza would probably kick the dog shit out of most everyone in this thread.

Not sure how a Kimbo fight would turn out. If Danza got him on the ground he may have a chance, and Danza would have speed on his side. But, if Kimbo connected one of his punches, good chance it's lights out. I would NOT want to be on the receiving end of one of Kimbo's hits.

Doctor Dre 10-17-2011 02:02 AM

Kimbo is a real heavyweight... I saw Danza fight, he's a lot smaller.

Kimbo has been training with pros fulltime for a while now, he's not getting subbed easily by a guy he outweights by 50+ pounds.

You guys have never been in the gym if you think Danza would be able to do anything to him. Weight does matter, a lot. You can get out of submission holds you wouldn't dream getting out of if you were similar size on sheer strenght if you know the escapes.

you're right to an extent, but jui jitsu is the art of leverage. shinya aoki would submit kimbo within 1 min. and he's 155lb. this was the premises of Danza's tirade that he would beat kimbo in a no holds bar street fight. based on the art of jui jitsu. where the smaller guy can win a la helio gracie.

Danza via mounted gogoplata :thumbsup

Most people don't understand the difference between a 6 month BJJ Whitebelt and the average person. I made people cry at white belt just from pressure. A BJJ Blue Belt is the equivalent of any other martial art Black belt, and Danza is a Purple. 80 percent of white belts will never see blue. And out of those blues, maybe half will make purple. The chances are better that the purple will make brown, then black, but not by much.

Danza's attitude is the same attitude I've seen among fighters, Pro or Amateur. They believe they can win, because doubting yourself is the first step in you loosing before the first punch is thrown. Give him shit if you want, but please provide some video proof of you stepping up and fighting.

adultchatpay 10-18-2011 12:45 AM

Kimbo is a looser!!!

Jman 10-18-2011 04:08 AM

It would be entertaining to watch ;)

MrBottomTooth 10-18-2011 06:21 AM

No one here needs to prove they have stepped up and fought to know Danza would get his ass kicked by Kimbo. It's just common sense.

I doubt Aoki would be able to take him down now that he's been training. He'd probably get KTFO.

Right, and common sense said Kimbo would have won his fight against Seth Petruzelli.

The one thing that people who have fought, trained, stepped up know, anything can happen in a fight. There's a reason Kimbo left MMA.

While that is true, in this case Kimbo has been training professionally for years by a good coatching staff. 50 pounds is enough of a difference to make up for blue belt VS purple, especially when you can hit people in the face.

3 guys under 156lbs who could submit Kimbo easily in an MMA bout.

Shinya Aoki 156lb
Masakazu Imanari 135lbs
Satoru Kitaoka 155lb

Kimbo has weak knees and horrible conditioning. He would get submitted so quick.

on the other hand. Danza has no chance against Kimbo.

Kimbo has stopped training MMA for some time now, and frankly, he wasn't really good at it. He was showed up to be lacking with his last fight with Seth, who was walking backwards and throwing a jab that knocked out Kimbo. And you are generalizing the skill level of a blue vs purple. There are blues at Renzo Gracie's that would make some Brown Belts at other schools look bad. Look I'm not saying that Danza would knock out or beat Kimbo, I'm saying that the hate he gets here from people who don't train, or have had a sanctioned fight is sad. Especially when when they don't understand the difference between a street fight vs sport fighting. You yourself saw the difference when you started training. It's not something that be can quantified and explained on a message board. Everybody is a tough guy till they get punched in the face or choked the fuck out.

Seth Petruzelli had 13 pro fights under his belt before facing Kimbo, including fights with guys like Dan Severn and Matt Hamill, was a cast member on The Ultimate Fighter TV show and walks around at about 224 lbs, although I think he was fighting at 205 when he faced Kimbo, and is a black belt in BJJ.

I don't think you can really compare him with Danza.

I don't know if you are being dense or just obtuse. The point is, in a fight, anything can happen. 9 times out of 10 Kimbo might rock him, or that 1 out of 10 Danza hell hooks Kimbo. It's a fight.

Fine, but my point is there can be a situation where you are so severely overpowered and outclassed that there is no chance at winning.... none at all. Like me stepping into a boxing ring against a prime Mike Tyson. I wouldn't win one fight if I fought him 1000 times.

After watching both Danza and Kimbo fight I don't think Danza would even win 1 fight out of 100 against him. It'd be a shut out. And I am no Kimbo fan. He had no place in the UFC.
