I have said that mobile phone porn is rather silly.

A while back it was silly stamp size low quality pics to your phone. Very poor.

Then it was some fuzzy low quality vid. Still rather poor.

BUT........

It seems that many people (inc webmasters) now use there mobile for the internet.

Mobiles now are pda's. With nice screens and easy to type on. They are also cheap. In fact you can now get cheap smart phones for pay as you go.

So I had a look to see if sites are now worth promoting.

I found (so far) 2.

oth I tested on my htc mobile (via wifi).

Both I found loaded nice, and looked good on the screen.

Of course you do not have (as yet) flash, but the mp4 clips loaded nice and looked very good on the screen.

So could mobiles save the idustry?

Put it this way, tube sites are no use on a mobile as they are flash based. So it means that paid may be the best option for those with mobiles.

It probably still is an untaped market as many have left the adult biz and those remaining probably are too set in there ways to start over again promoting adult on mobiles.

BUT.......

To get mobile porn to work we need to have mobile payment. Its rather silly to have ONLY credit card payment option as its a pain having to type in your credit card detailes. Having watched people use modern smart phones, they surfe using fingers. To enter a credit card details means having to get a stylus out.

Surly the best option is simply to press a button on the screen and payment is charged to your mobile. Or at very least your credit card (with the info already held on the mobile).

The other problem is screen size. With mobiles (inc ipads and ipods) being different sizes, its going to be a challage to design sites that fit all screens.

You are leaving money on the table by sending to a sponsor, when you can set up your own site with Adult Centro.

As I mentioned, I did this and haven't bothered looking back.

Also, Android outsells iPhone and most people with smartphones have access to flash.

Not sure what king of phone you're using but major programs like brazzers or videosz have great quality mobile videos. Not fuzzy at all.

i meant a few years ago the quality was poor.

these days its very good.

If that were true, you'd be reading a pdf or Word document right now. Pdfs are a certain size. The whole point of html is that it was created as a way to make documents that work on any device. The job of a web browser is to format the page to look right on a particular screen, paper, etc. That's what the browser DOES. You just have to get out of the way and stop putting width=mypixels on everything. That and since you know the screen will be "small", don't waste a lot of space with overdone nav bars and stuff. But do not worry about the different sizes of mobile devices and design for certain sizes. Instead, simply stop assuming you know the screen size. When you do that, your pages will accidentally be beautiful on the Playstation, a netbook, and whatever comes next - the iloo or whatever.
