Going to Lake Tahoe this Christmas... where to stay? what to do? Any help?
Alysha's decided that she wants to go to Lake Tahoe the week before Christmas, and neither of us have ever been. Was thinking of getting a cabin, but I wouldn't even know where to look. South of the lake appears to have the most population, but would like somewhere nice, and somewhere that novice (read: never skied before) skiers can learn without breaking bones.
Any body been, or is familiar with where to stay and what to do there in late December? Thanks! |
My family vacationed in Tahoe a few summers and we'd always rent a 3-4 bedroom house in Incline Village I believe... could be something to check out. I want to say it was north shore, about 500 feet from the lake or so. Couldn't see it through the trees but could walk to it.

This is what I would do... tell Alysha's that I will be there soon. Do not try and impress her and let me look at her tits...
If all goes well I will give her my monkey surprise and you will still be asking... what happened? |
oh dude. tahoe rules.
You can get a cabin on the south side near the casino's.. You've got squaw valley and many other great places to ski. Check out airbnb via www.fantasylocations.com for a cabin you can rent for less than what most might charge thru a leasing agent. Good deals, ask for a special offer if the rate seems too high, many will bargain with you. |
Tahoe is awesome!
Squaw Valley is huge and Heavenly has the best views. All the resorts have green runs and bunny hills, but the terrain can be pretty steep for first timers. |
Thanks, everyone. Sent out emails for availability on a few cabins... hope we find something good. Concentrating on the south side of the lake for now.

South lake for sure :)
