chargebacks.eu -who is using it?
Hi GFYers,
Im curious.. anyone using chargebacks.eu ? Does it work? Am I getting back i.e 50% of successfully collected chargebacks or do I pay per try? My question is: 1) What if the actual cardholder (if it is a cardholder dispute) is using fake address details? It will be impossible to go after him? 2) What if the carder is using another persons card (which I guess is the most common fraud) i.e. affiliate fraud (fake signups with stolen cards). Who to go after, the cardholder? The only way this would work is if the cardholder agrees that he has joined the site, but don't want to pay for any reason..maybe quality etc..but how many chargebacks is like this? It does not make sense .. |
Interesting business, but isn't 1% the chargeback limit now a days? so if they recover lets say 50% of those, and you pay 50% commission you are talking about recovering at most 0.25%...
seems hardly worth the drama over some $30 transactions, especially considering that you have to spend time sending them documentations, etc + there is potential for it to backfire somehow.... |

The only way this company could be succesful is if they check ip addresses used for the purchase and downloads and are able to verify these ip addresses at the internet hosting provider, but providers will never give out information about who is using which ip address. So it seems rather pointless to me. |
I did some investigating and this is what I found:
On chargebacks.eu it states the company name is Chargeback Ltd BUT they do not give any contact details except for an online form, that alone put a red flag in front of my face. The registered owner of Chargeback Ltd actually owns the site chargebackclaims.com with full contact details including Phone, Fax and address, which I may add is completely different that the address and fake phone number along with a bad email address in the Whois for chargebacks.eu Therefore with the above in mind I would personally steer clear of chargebacks.eu :2 cents: |

I found them advertising here (some form of skin): www .nalem.com/index.php?enter=OK |
Porn500 thank you for pointing this thread out. You will see that I just started posting on the boards, and there are a lot of them, they have me signed up for. Right now I am going to give brief answers as best as I can, and you are welcome to contact me directly with any additional questions you have. It is difficult to provide you an "all emcompassing" answer, as some of you might wish.

You are required to provide all the information you have on the member that signed up. The assigned agency will run it through skip tracing database to better identify the physical or mailing address associated with the card and with the debtor. Based on what I have been told, most chargebacks are based on "friendly fraud" where the consumer knowingly used their card, actively used the service such as membership to a paysite or chat with a model, and decided to "force a refund" from the merchant. It is a matter of applying all available information that the merchant should have, including IP log in details, etc, and making the debtor aware of this. Since some of these agencies are attorney based, a letter from the office of legal counsel can get consumers to reconsider returning monies. Quote:
The good news is that the law allows merchants to attempt recovery on the original transaction amount, bank fees and collection costs. Quote:
