How do you pay someone in Argentina?
I need to make a payment to someone in Argentina, but there seems to be no method of payment...
Banks will steal his money, paypal won't let him sign up, checks or cash in an envelope will be opened as soon as they enter Argentina... so how would you pay a guy down there? I guess he works for free?? :Graucho |
Send them coffee beans or rice...:winkwink:
|
free work :thumbsup
|
Try Western Union.
http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...hreadid=104088 Not such a stupid post. Share the knowledge. :thumbsup |
Use Western Union, hands down.
OR put a bag of rice, a bag of coffee and a mexican prostitute on a small trained donkey, put him on the US/Mexico border and yell *camine derecho, carajo!* That kind of payment arrives in a year more or less, usually you lose the prostitute half the way, but is the method of payment i prefer. If you´re in Europe, replace the donkey with a bird or a canoe. |
But Western Union works via the bank... And that is another way to steal...
|
western union, either that or milo's method (works for him) :winkwink:
oh, or a check but fedex'ed, arrives in 3 days. |
Send him food of course

i have paid programmers by Western Union. It's good but it comes at a price, forget what the fees are but after the first two times I used it I started telling these foreign guys who only accept Western Union that the WU fees come off their check.
|
Pay them in Chickens and goats !
|
give him a donkey
|
A wire transfer to a bank should work fine. We've wired to all kinds of strange countries without problems.
|
Western Union has worked well for me sending payments to a few different places.
Other than that bank wires did the job as well. :thumbsup |
http://epassporte.com you silly goose, that's how you pay him :)
|
Why not bury the cash in a bag of rice and send it to him?
|
you shouldn't be worrying about how to pay him.
he should be worrying about how you'll pay him. let him figure it out and tell you. |
Western Union
|
Maybe the 'hand of god' will appear and take the money to him? (hmmm...the humour's probably not gonna work too well for those in the US. Oh well :) )
|
as Kimmykim said, epassporte
|
why would the banks steal his money?

so, simply speaking: You have a bank account of 100k USD. Your money is hold hostage with a limit of 1200k a month withdraws, and at the same time it goes down from 100k USD to 30k USD (dollar/peso exchange) who wants to move down here? :) that's the best i can do to explain that crazy situation on a saturday night and drunk as Amp, milo might have a more logical answer :) |

all of argentina is corrupt. |
Western Union, but the costs are high for small amounts...

BULLSHIT! It's just 99.99% :) |
darling, pay him with epassporte, he can either take his money out of the system with atm or banks, or he can just buy what he wants using his brand new visa card number...
so simple, i can't believe you guys didn't see it... |

It's Argentina we're talking about, you can't open a paypal account, you can't open an epassporte account, international credit cards issued by banks in Argentina are now useless outside the country by national law. Now if you can open an epassporte account for me i'd be eternally greatful. :thumbsup |

Just send the money to MiLo TurboNegro via western union and let him take care of it. He does it for me all the time.
:winkwink: I want 25% of the money this time Milo, you only gave me 15% of the money from the last sucker that I sent to you. |

Do you REALLY think that there are 7-11's with little atm's with cash in them on any corner in ARGENTINA where you can just use your card like that? I've been to countries where you can't use a credit card at all. I've been to countries where they didn't even have a decent telephone system... All of the world isn't like that heaven you live in out there in California... |
For Robert ... No time to write it in English too ...
Saludos , Pablo . Cualquier cosa : [email protected] |
Its simple.....
get lots of cash! take yourself on a nice little holiday to Argentina and sample some fine ladies..... then take it out of his pay cheque for your inconvenience.... he still gets his money without being stole and you get a nice couple of days in Argentina! sounds good? |
epassporte or Western Union.

Open an account in any private bank here in Uruguay and transfer the money here. If not just ask them to send a check via FedEX and then cross the border and do the exchange here, which only costs 1% of the ammount of the check. Or just have them use WU to a place in Uruguay and then come pick it up. And since we are in summer right now just come down to Punta del Este and take a small vacation and get your cash. BTW I have friends in Punta del Este. =) |
Viva Latino America!
We love all this drama to be able to collect OUR money! That's why I live in the northermost country/city of latin america M I A M I.... we have just as many corrupt ppl but we have the american fucking way of life! :thumbsup |

Not only is epassporte quick, easy, and inexpensive compared to all other P2P methods, but cardholders can be anonymous. All accounting is online and your account name can be whatever you want it to be. |
So Rand, you are saying that someone in Argentina CAN receive money on an epassporte, am I reading this correctly?
That was one of the things that impressed me about the system when I saw it at the show, the fact that those paypal type limitations would go away for the person RECEIVING money. It might be a bit more tricky for an Argentine to load money onto the card, but they can still get it out in at least one manner. Can you make sure I am on the right track here Rand? Thanks |
Send him your best regards!
And an online postcard |

Roberto (and other): not everyone is corrupt, not even closer to that 99.99%. 99.99% of politicians are, that's for sure, most of them are in US banks payroll or CIA or both of them, but most of the people works hard and honestly. Argentina is a very rich country under economic and militar slavery from IMF (FMI) and USA, so let's cut the crap, I'm not corrupt (I'm not Argentinian, by the way) and none of the people I know is corrupt Captain Canada: yes, you're right (and thanx for your biz, by the way :thumbsup ) |
