Thrift stores are great - particularly if you're a musician. You can buy ragged clothes and torn jeans at Goodwill for a few bucks - or go down to Queen St. and pay $100 for the same items.
I'd go into Goodwill and buy a dozen shirts for three bucks each (Why not? They were going to get destroyed, anyway...) while the drummer in our band was selling $50 t-shirts at Fab (used to be by Bathurst - its gone now. Yet Goodwill lives on!) Great place for funky suit jackets and crazy old pimpin' leather jackets. |
