I would love to see Detroit beat out the Yankees and make it to the ALCS but I just don't see it happening, especially after their meltdown tonight. Their pitching just isn't deep enough and you can expect the Yankees to capitalize on any flaw in their bullpen as they did tonight. The Tigers got lucky on monday in that the Yankees threw CC Sabathia on short rest after the rainout, and I think that's why he had an off night. Otherwise I think that this would've been the last game of the series for Detroit. You're right about Burnett though, he's had a terrible season and he actually got saved by the Yank's defense tonight on a couple occasions, especially when Granderson caught that line drive in the first with the bases loaded. Now it's back to the Bronx for game five against Ivan Nova, Detroit is done. I stand by my prediction that it will be the Yankees vs. Rangers in the ALCS.
I will be periodically updating my World Series thread throughout the postseason up until the Phillies win the World Series.:winkwink:
