Does it belong in your nation/culture to sit in the backyard ( or do it as you walk ) , crack and spit out the shell of a sunflower seed?

In Spain big time, even more after they banned smoking at football. When Valencia played Man Utd the Spanish fans had to go to pet shops to buy them. I hate seeing piles of spat out shells though, people should put them in a bag.

it's quite typical here. soccer stadiums are filled ankle-deep with its shells. almost literally.

I probably eat about a pound and a half of sunflower seeds a week, no joke. I eat them when i'm driving. I eat them while i'm watching TV like other people eat popcorn. I'd say i'm pretty much the fastest sunflower seed eater alive, I should enter a fucking seed eating contest, that's how goddamn good I am. My girlfriend even went out and bought me a brass spitoon for the shells at pier1 imports because she was sick of looking at the plastic containers I spit the shells in laying around the house. It's pretty cool actually, it looks like something you'd see in a wild west saloon.
