Many still seem to think social network sites will be huge?

But how many of us have lost interest in facebook, twitter, or even blogs. I now seem to go on facebook once a month just to reply to friends. Sure children and those who do not work seem to be on it all the time, but the buzz seems to have gone.

And to be honest I have no interest in google+ or whatever it is.

Note I said new on trhe net not web as mabe even the web has had its day.

These days people nw use phone aps more and more. These are net based rather than web (html sites).

Areas which surly must grow are tv's conected to the web (tv streaming or on demand plus aps). In car (as in your car conected to the web). And more in the way of phone and ipad type aps.

Social networking is way too broad a term to say it is something that has already happened or is the next big thing. It is like saying websites have already happened. To me, it isn't that social networking is the next big thing as much as how further intergrated it will become to life in general. I really think we are just at the start of how important it will be. I mean, really this board is a social network.

aside from bitcoin next big thing will be a sort of facebook for businesses, where you can look up for new contacts, negotiate with your vendors, contractors, partners and associates, where one company would be able to arrange order of inventory and other put out a bid for media buyers, etc... someone somewhere will come up with something like this and will become a global b2b marketplace. add a layer of security that all data will be stored encoded and read with private/public keys and it will be golden - no one would be able to complain that private data is shared in any shape way or form with third parties.

what will be next wave of another gold rush where everybody with little effort could make good money, i have no idea.

* Advanced and targeted social features/applications
* Argumented reality
