Its actually made for high-speed offroad. I've had some fun with it at dry lake beds, utility access roads and once did a trip thru Christmas Tree Pass on the way to Laughlin, NV for lunch.Comment

I've had this Jeep since 1994. Has just enough room in the back for my dog or surfboard and I'm just a short drive
from the beach where you can actually drive on it. Tons of fun and super easy to work on or replace parts.
I also have a Jeep Cherokee to handle the rest.
As a matter of fact today its sunny and in the low 70s so it is a perfect day to go for a ride.

Just took these pics of the damn love bugs we get here in Florida... also a good shot of our cars... Vette, Camaro, CTS and Suburban. Love bugs come out twice a year just long enough to screw up your paint job... Missing from the pics is our Dodge Ram and two bikes: Suzuki GSX-R 1000 and 600.

The 55 is supercharged, the first gen 63 (mine) is a naturally aspirated V8 - 507hp. For the 2012 model they switched the 63 to twin turbo at 550hp.
I get 13mpg. The 2012 gets 22
Went to test drive your car (the ctsv coupe) and noticed gas mileage is no better. A trip to the grocery store is $7 in gas Fun to drive though.

Must be a trend. I average about 13mpg as well. About 11mpg in the city and 14-15mpg on the interstate.
Offroad I get about 8mpg. Doesnt seem to matter if I'm driving fast or slow.Comment

lol, For those that don't live in Florida love-bugs or fuck bugs come out twice a year for a few weeks. They swarm in the 10's of thousands and can cover the front of your car in seconds. Worse is riding a motorcycle and suddenly coming upon an area that looks like it snowing bugs. And every damn bug is fucking.

ya most people in the US dont realize that cars outside the US (EU/Asia) cost 2x or 3x more than they do in the US. a Tiida in Thailand costs as much as a Lexus in the USA. the bottom Mercedes costs around $100k.

i got my 968 for almost 10 years now, my Audi since 5 years - i see no point in dumping money into buying something new. i live in a perfect place, everything is in walking distance, i don't use my cars sometimes for one or two months. i was even thinking about selling them and take a cab or rent something if i really need to drive somewhere.Comment

Agreed 100%. I have been faithful to them since the 90's, but they were looking rough for a while. I've always had at least one in the garage, though, no matter what else was there with it. Kept bouncing: 325xi to 330ci to M5 to M3 to 525i to 550i to M6 to 745li to 760li to a 530i, hehe.Comment
