Star Wars: The Old Republic launches December 22
 

BioWare and publisher EA have always been evasive about whether The Old Republic was going to coming out this year or not, but now the game has been officially announced for Thursday, December 22 in Europe and Tuesday, December 20 in the US.

I never found star wars movies to be interesting, I wonder if I would enjoy the game? I do like MMOs, and I can't wait for the GW2 to be released!! In the mean time, do you think this game would appeal to me if I never really cared for the movies?

it's an MMORPG...and only comes out for PC ;)

its' a solid rpg even if you know nothing about the star wars universe. Characters are pretty interesting, lots of options with weapons. Good for getting lost in from time to time anyway.

knights of the old republic and the sequel were great games in my opinion. They are pretty old now so may be able to pick them up cheap on amazon or something. Not mmorpg though just rpg--but still action based.

I've been playing as a tester, it's a great game.

pretty much anything star wars is good for me.. was there in 77 to see the first film...
waiting for Arkham City to come out but I'll def get Old Republic.. for that hour of play I get here n there when not swamped with work.

I will be interesting to watch if it will be successful or not

they will pick up alot of bored WoW players. so i think since really not alot in this magnitude of games around it will be busy. as long as they can keep attentions

on a side note if anyone else loved the first 2 games you should check out those old republic videos that are out there on youtube, seems to be a whole series of them explaining the history between the titles etc.. I found it pretty interesting anyway...

but to be honest I would have rather had KOTOR 3.....
