Guess what black guy won the Florida straw poll last night?

I actually like a lot of what he has to say. But I'm afraid it's one of those you would be throwing your vote away sort of things. I really like his federal sales tax idea.

TheDoc 09-25-2011 09:38 AM

His words almost perfectly echo the talking point memo... He knows the play book rather well, which is why Florida folks like him so much.

raymor 09-25-2011 09:45 AM

I like him better than Perry the career politician. He may be weak on foreign policy, but he knows economics better than most and takes good advice.

baddog 09-25-2011 12:05 PM

Why does his color matter?

That can't be right.
This board is full of posts with accusations of Tea Party racism.

ilnjscb 09-25-2011 01:30 PM

What a contest, him against Barack Obama. That's almost worth voting for him. He seems like a good guy with good ideas.

I would actually like to see that...the guy seems pretty decent, and that way the race card never comes out.

You should not equate "racism" with "complete stupidity".
That would help you understand the poll results better.

You did. You said "black guy" right in your post title. If the colour of his skin did not matter to you, you would have mentioned him by name.

First thing you mentioned was the colour of his skin. Then you go on to say that - even though you like his ideas about the federal sales tax - people would be throwing their vote away if they backed him. Why is that?

Just. Fucking. Wow.

Color of his skin does matter to me and it matters to everyone. If it didn't Obama would not have been our first black president. We would have had one generations ago. MILLIONS of Americans wanted to show the world and themselves that they have FINALLY broken free of racial prejudices by electing a black President, so fuck yeah his skin color matters. Who I voted for last election is nobodies business but my own, but I will tell you this. After the election I felt quite a bit of pride that my country elected a black person to our highest office. He is a black guy and yes I did put that in the thread. It's very obvious your trying to say I'm prejudice because I used the word "black". Quite the opposite. I said guess what black guy won and you suggest I put his name in the thread? Not a member of mensa are you?

Wow. Just fucking wow.

So if I made a thread titled guess what "woman" you would say I'm against women's rights? And then question me why gender matters? LOL

Wow. Just fucking wow.

And why do you post under 2 GFY nicknames? baddog and garce? You forgot to log out under baddog and posted your response while logged into garce account. LOL. You have nothing better to do than to have multiple nicknames and post all day on gfy? I never had a problem with you, but I've seen a lot of negative remarks about you. Now I see why.

If you look at FBI crime statistics you'd see that his color matters quite a bit. Unfortunately, negroes are extremely likely to be involved in all sorts of shenanigans.

Ron Bennett 09-25-2011 09:12 PM

When discussing Obama's "color", keep in mind, he's roughly 1/2 "white" as well.

As for skin color mattering ... about 90% of all voters who identify themselves as "black" voted for Obama; many acknowledging the main reason being his skin color.

People who control the money tend to prefer Republicans, and with the current Republican candidates looking so weak, it makes sense they'd suddenly vault a lesser known "black" candidate Herman Cain into the party nomination mix as a hedge in case the other nominees don't pan out.

Remember the stat I mentioned above ... the "black" vote, while less significant these days, is still sizable ... as of now, Obama, assuming he runs again, will likely garner much of that vote - of the current crop of potential GOP nominees, only Cain has a shot of significantly cutting into Obama's "black" vote margin.

In short, Herman Cain is a smart hedge by the GOP; the power-elite who ultimately influences who gets to run for President ... as Ross Perot found out the hard way - read up on how his campaign was derailed when it appeared he could potentially win over the "selected" major party candidates.

Ron

Obviously Herman Caine can't be a Tea Party favorite..... this is some sort of gross accounting error

EVERYONE on this board knows that THE TEA BAGGERS ARE A BUNCH OF RACISTS! There is obviously no way that this candidate can run on a Tea Party agenda and win.

I can't believe you guys are falling for this false propaganda. It's simply just a product of Faux News. No minority could be popular with the tea party people, it's simply impossible. Like joshgirls pointed out, all republicans are in the KKK, especially the tea party people, and all racists are tea party, republicans! THIS IS A KNOWN FACT, so stop trying to imply such silly nonsense like Herman Caine doing well in the polls. It's obviously not true.

Nuf said? Good. Now lets have no more of this sort of talk.

Actually, it may just show how little you actually know about the full spectrum of US politics because of the limited agenda's of the news sources that you choose to access. I've known about him since May, as have a lot of other voters, obviously.

No offense meant, but in reading your posts you seem to get all your news from places that you feel will safely agree with your own world view. Perhaps you should consider getting more bold in your choices.... there is a very big world out there.

The great irony of the adult industry is that you idiots support Republicans... more than half the state party platforms clearly state they want porn to be made illegal.

Do you find it ironic that your entire post has not even one word that describes any of
Caine's policies that appeal to the Tea Party and the only thing you focused on was his race?

I do.

Hehe, not even a little bit...

If you listen to the right talk radio and read the talking points memo, you will see a repeat of information, at times a word for word repeat.

Even Rush Limbaugh called him on it after the S. Carolina debate, ?Herman Cain made me think I was listening to me in every answer.?

Unless the man is talking about Pizza, someone else said it.

Ok, so when I make fun of the fact that the left constantly, viciously, and falsely calls the tea party racist, by sarcasticly pointing out the fact that a front running candidate among the tea party people is black, THAT makes me racist?

So then by the same logic, the fact that you always post about racism, must mean that you are a racist.

*Michael slaps his forehead with his hand*

That makes no sense at all.

You are nothing more than a pathetic trolling asswipe who has nothing better to do than post on GFY all day. Every night when you go to bed your self worth is 100% directly tied to what you think other trolls on GFY think about you. Your type is easy to spot.

You try to insinuate that I'm prejudice in your initial response by asking why does the race matter. But you are a troll so that is to be expected.

The race of a presidential candidate MOST CERTAINLY does matter. Anyone who says it doesn't is full of shit. Does this statement or fact make me prejudice? Hell no.

You called me what was it chokesondick here? Next show I'm at lets see you come up to my face and call me that. You won't because your nothing more than a keyboard warrior.

Troll to the end aren't you? So I accuse you of having multiple nicks. Anyone other than someone who's entire life revolves around GFY would have said the same thing as I did. It looked like you have two nicks. You probably do. Someone like you who's entire life is GFY surely has a backup in case they get banned. So now it's a bannable offense to accuse someone of having two nicks? People like you are EXACTLY why so few people post here anymore. They are afraid to because of trolling ass wipes like you. I'm looking forward to meeting you face to face.

Cain is also a talk radio star and is based in the South. If he wins in IA and NH, then we'd know this is the real deal. So far, it's more of a hometown hero effect.
