The house next door to me has been empty for about 6 months as the owners remodeled it and put it up for sale. It was sold a few weeks ago and the new owners moved in over this last weekend. The last few days their little dog has been out in the yard and it starts barking the second they leave for work and doesn't stop until they come home.

I gave the dog a few days to get acclimated, but it is driving me nuts as I try to work with a non-stop yipping/barking dog all day long so today when they got home I went over, introduced myself and welcomed them to the neighborhood. I then let them know that their dog barks all day long while they are at work. They apologized, were unaware it was doing that, and said they would figure something out. As we talk I look at some of the pictures on the wall and recognized a few of the people in them. It turns out their son and daughter both went to high school with me. The daughter was in my grade and the son a year before. I haven't seen either of them since graduation.

My graduating class was about 125 kids in it. Over the years I have lived in several cities in a few different states and I end up moving to a small town and now live next to someone I knew as a kid. Small world.

Now let's just hope the dog stops barking.

Here's what you do:

Take a piece of cardboard and write on it "Get rid of the dog now or I will" and leave it on the hood of their car to make sure they see it. Do it at night and have a friend write the note so the handwriting can't be traced back to you.

lol. with my luck that dog would bark the second I stepped out my house and I would get busted holding the sign. :)

This little bastard has some kind of sonic bark. Their yard is a decent distance from my window, window is closed and he is behind a fence.There is also a tree in between us and it sounds just like that dog is in the room with me. lol

I would have somebody else do it for you. I see that you are in Portland and not far from theking, ask him if he could come down at night and do a favor for you. Check his threads for his contact info.
