My thoughts about advertisers on the tube sites...
 

So is this basically saying that the only way you are going to sell anything if you advertise on the tube sites is advertising something that the surfer can't get for free already on the tube site.

Advertising an adult dvd download website would be stupid I'd think because the tubes are giving it all away for free anyways so that wouldn't be smart.

Then I notice the ExGF type of sites that are basically movies that you can already get on the tubes for free but they are trying to trick the surfer into thinking they are real past girlfriend videos that you are watching, how creative. NOT.

Let's see, Penis Pill, that's something you can't get on the tube sites so maybe that would be a good thing to advertise.

Sex toys, yep, still something you can't get for free, but then again the only male sex toy that would be worth it is either Fleshlight or a Real Touch and Real Touch is more than most men will spend on themselves when their hand is free.

Live Webcams, well, depending on what turns you on more, free videos of whatever niche you want or having to spend at least $50 to get a real LIVE girl to do what you want her to do if the bitch will even do that. Might as well go to a strip club instead.

Hmm, what else would make sense to advertise if you were a tube site advertiser. I don't think advertising an adult website makes sense at all because why would the surfer buy that when he can just watch thousands of movies for free anyways. All the pay adult sites offer above and beyond the movies are maybe some LIVE webcams but typically they are just upselling those inside their members area anyways.

Too bad I couldn't advertise something mainstream on a tube site, hmm, but then those programs don't allow advertising on adult websites.

So basically you are fucked...unless you find that golden thing to advertise that makes it all worth while. When I find it you can be sure that I won't be telling anyone. HAHA.

I think advertising for anything won't work well on tubesites because the people using tubesites belong to the sad crowd who refuse to pay for porn and related products out of principles. That's why you see most tube sites going down after a while. Still, most tube sites only show low resolution in limited bitrates so you can advertise video sites on them even if they have the same content, but in higher resolution and quality. But again, I doubt if it will work.

Bigger ones tend to stay, but alot of smaller tubes come and go. For example evilhub.com is not opening for the last several days (our last DMCA to them is still pending). Also there was a tube named teenist.com that used to host videos but later switched to embeds from bigger tubes. Moviefap stopped updating at some point. Shufuni used to be big but later dropped the ball.

Those are the few that I can remember right now, but there is lot more. Tube scene below Alexa top 1000 is always changing. Above too actually, but it's not that noticable. We have to clean our list of illegal tubes to monitor quite often.

As an advertiser, you can't expect something from tube sites, this is the worst place to advertise something :1orglaugh

The worst place to advertise yet the most expensive advertising in the adult industry today just becuase of the traffic.

So basically would you pay the same money to reach 20 million tube visitors or 1 million search engine type of visitors that know nothing about the tube sites or never visit them. We all know it should also cost less to reach 1 million good quality visitors just becuase the traffic number is lower than 20 million tube visitors.

The tube site owers think they are sitting on a pot of gold and maybe they are making good advertising money right now but it will soon dry up and the giving away the farm concept will soon come to and end. :2 cents:

I'm sure most porn webmasters are lining up to get that $2. That is the natural thing to do after giving them 4+ minute videos and saying adapt or die.

I have been studying the tubesite model. I'm not sure they are all that stupid. The concept may have other applications.

But I don't give out full scenes though :)
