whats up with september sales?
 

hi yall,

so two days before 9/11 my sales tanked to abnormal levels (normal =100$ per day, right now less then 20$ per day), only on the 12th of sept i made fairly normal sales, but for the rest they tanked even further, days of less then 0,20$

Now my traffic has been stable for years, google loves us and is showing it in its traffic. So im stumped onto whats wrong here, traffic to sponsors is a little lower then usual, but not alarming.

One thing we found tho there were a lot of old hacked files on our server that the host claimed were cleaned out (files with over two years old hacks in em, and old backdoors to the box)

Now my question,

How are your sales since the 9th of september?
Do you see also lower numbers going to the sponsors and sales absolutely tanking to the 0 level?

September is not as bad as august, but still nothing to cheer about.

First payment period in september is always a tad slow. Maybe its everyone getting back to school hahaha. But its most likely a parental trend of back to work, summers over, but do not worry :D things will get slightly better soon so be sure to market your ass off.

aug, sept, oct always the worst months for me every year. but yeah sales pretty poor.

post form submission percentages from september 11th until today september 18th lets compare submissions and see if our surfers have similiar form submission habbits for this past week

lots of traffic and few sales. scrub is hard right now.

I'm getting the same amount of traffic, if not more...and sales are just not there. I'm just gonna keep working and hope October is better.

August was the best month of 2011 September is not that good but still better than the rest of this year.

You need to take into consideration that financial news has been less than promising with talk off a second recession and in the EU with Greece playing a heavy role possibly defaulting if they don't install more austerity measures. If you have significant EU traffic the euro zone debt crisis is bound to impact your sales.

The only advice I can give is to continue working (building sites, increase position in the serps, ect) and when things pick up you will be in a good position when things begin to improve.

It's the same here. On my end I see sales dropping since July 2011. July 2011+ August 2011 have been the worst summer months ever for me. Don't talk about a summer slow down as I have never had that before. Last year August 2010 was one of the best months ever. But this summer it has been a nightmare. And on top of this it looks that September 2011 will be even the worst month ever. My traffic is up and I have never had more traffic than today but sales are very poor. I usually have arround 15-20 sales per day but now it's 3-4-5 sales per day... 5 sales per day is a top day and before July 2011 I found it was a shit day when I had 10 sales per day...

And believe me it's for everybody the same. I hear webmasters blaming their processors (CCBill) that they're scrubbing too much and that can be true but in fact the total image is that the economy is bad, the stock markets are bad and there's a whole lot of free porn on the web (tubes) so why should one buy porn...? I still make sales but it's only 20%-25% of what it was three months ago...

It has never been rational to buy a membership to a porn website while you can get the content for free elsewhere.

My sales are pretty bad this month, but i have the rebills from august (pretty good month despite the economy and the tubes...)

ok just to give an update, yesterday i switched my biggest site to a complete different host, on a completly different network. Since i did that i made three very nice signups, coïncidence? these signups all came from that one switched site, the other sites in my network, which are totalling about 4 times the traffic of my biggest site, didnt make me a single penny...

Im hoping today will be the same result, if so, then i can only do one thing imho and that is switching hosts. Mind you on my current host we found files with trojans and php backdoors that were over 2 years old from an old hack, i was asured these were removed/cleaned and the boxes were secure (2 years ago). Im holding atm my breath on what their outcome is of 48 hours of digging into the box...

first two backdoors found and quarantined, im 100% sure theres at least another dozen on the box, same goes for two other boxes...

September is average so far, down 10% on last september.

I recently did a survey with current and ex members, I got around 200 replied, I asked a few different things about quality, update frequency, price etc, overwhelmingly most people had not rejoined in the past 6 months because they cannot afford to, and will happily rejoin when they can... it's just the way shit is at the moment.

Actually after the move, my traffic to sponsors is about 40% higher then before the move. from 4k a day to 7k a day...
