Tyson Fury did anyone watch?
 

I just watched the fight and he looked great he is going to be a amazing fighter he is only 23. He just dominated this guy but got caught himself think he needs to work on his defense

Yeah that will be a great fight but unfortunately for me in the UK it is not on until about 5 am :-(

Been watching college football all day and totally forgot Fury was fighting Nicolai Firtha. Just read that he got rocked in the 3rd but stopped Firtha in the 5th. Hopefully he continues to take fights like this and progress, and doesn't try to jump in with a Klitschko too soon. I like Fury a lot, but he needs to tighten up his defense. He really is the only guy in the heavyweight division that has the potential in the future to give the Klitschkos a proper challenge.

I'll have to find the video, but I was watching a trailer the other day for a documentary about the Irish Travelers and their bare knuckle boxing bouts. It looked really good...

OK, cool. Thing is I dont really follow boxing... I'm not even aware that its gonna be on, or whos fighting who... But if I hear there is a match on (Usually via GFY to be honest) I alwyas tune it.. I have all the channels and enjoy a good punch up...

But aside from 'Night Of Champions' WWE next week... I dont have a CLUE what else is on... Cause I so rarely bother to watch all the premium sports channels :)

That looks really good. If you look on youtube you can see some of the Lenny Mclean and Roy Prettyboy Shaws fights, they are brutal..

I remember the last time Fury fought you said he was an Irish Traveler, so when I saw that trailer that was the first think I thought of. I'll have to check out those Youtube fights, I love that kind of stuff... :thumbsup

The good thing with Fury is he is progressing nicely now. After the initial hype from his first few fights with real bums he seemed to stagnate a little from the first fight with John McDermott through to Zack Page, and he clearly lost that first bout with McDermott, it was a scandalous decision from the ref to award Fury the win. He wasn't in any kind of shape for those fights but now seems to realise you can't cut corners if you want to be a top fighter.

If he can continue to improve over the next 18 months like he has done in his last couple of fights we may just have a quality heavyweight on our hands.

Absolutely if they fought now. That's why I say Fury is still a good 18 months or so away from being at that level providing he continues to improve.
By the time Fury 'may' be ready to face a legitimate champ Vitali may well be retired.

Obviously he would at the moment but if you let him mature and progress he could well be in with a shot. there are not any other boxers i know of at the moment that would stand a chance against the klitschkos at least fury could stand a chance in a year or 2. i personally think he is the most exciting heavyweight potential around at the moment...
