Members Area Gallery Script
I'm currently using one I wrote myself. What is a good script?
|
elevated x is nice from what i hear
|
elevatedx or MAS

elevatedX is indeed a nice one

The ones listed are nice if you like a comprehensive package that does everything. Some people see that as "eh it took over my while site. I just want something to make galleries." If you prefer smaller single purpose tools combined in rhe way you choose, look at Coppermine ang Menalto Gallery. Both have a variety of plugins available.
It's kind of like the difference between Microsoft Office versus a nice efficient text editor. Some prefer big "comprehensive" software packages that do everything, while others prefer small, simple scripts that do one thing and do it well. |
On a related note, if you stick with a custom one, beware any script that reads a video from disk and feeds it to the browser. They almost always have the same three bugs and two of those are significant security bugs. Any time I see something like video.php?file=somechick.wmv I immediately know how I can take control of the server.

If you're looking for a true pay site management platform, what the Elevated X offers out of the box is unmatched.
It might be overkill if all you're looking to to is make gallery pages. Check out http://www,elevatedx.com for a full list of our adult cms features, screenshots and to see the CMS demo. Feel free to email or call me with questions. My direct line is 800-690-9277 ext 1. AJ |

To make it a standard "product" we're formalizing a couple of procedures for a basic check and an indepth check. We're working up a LAMP specific checklist right now. We have the DOD, PCI, and DISA lists but they aren't specific to what we see everyday with the webmasters we work with. More interestingly, to me, we're testing a more "outside the box" solution that makes a server truly unhackable. We may post FTP information here to show that even if the bad guy had the FTP password he STILL can't mess up the site. |
