Back when I moved back to LA after college in the SF Bay area I lived in an apartment above Mexicans. Every morning I'd hear this thumping trombone bass. First, I hated that music but after a while it grew on me. Now I LOVE Banda/Norteno music.

Mexico is beautiful really. I used to love going down for the YP... Once you get past the tourist crap it was sweet. I loved how we would take a four wheel drive trip twenty minutes to eat in a restaurant that was really some woman's home kitchen.

I really miss being in Mexico.

My two best friends are Mexican. To their families, I'm an adopted son.
