they have free numbers available for select large Canadian cities. Those cities are also free for you to make outgoing calls to. For other cities its a rate plan at around 2 cents a minute.

Just posted this in case anyone in Canada may have use for a free incoming contact number. Cool part is it works with local 911 dispatch services as well within the larger cities.

If you are outside the larger cities you can still have a line, just with a number not local to you. Rate plans work the same and you can still call those larger cities for free.

It's no different than what freeweb did many moons ago. Only a matter of time before these things become more common practice
